ip restricting ireland
seriously z8 why did u ban ireland? so far i know of 2 irish gamers-myself and a guy i play with. i mean restricting ireland because of maybe 2-50 gamers is just dumb. and then u didnt ban northern ireland. i mean WTF,do u have something against the republic of ireland??

they said it's because smilegate has other plans for the countries that are red, what this infers is they want you to stop playing our version and go play a different one that you're not banned from.
In most cases it's probably due to location, but ireland is close to the UK server so i'm not sure why they would do it to you specifically. you're the one exception that doesn't make any sense. -

shut up you fool EVERY other country that isnt na/uk is restricted from making new accounts. Last time i checked northern ireland is apart of the UK so what are you complaining about? -

no I am not. thsi version is liceneced to Uk and NA if they randomly allow one other country not to be restricted THEN it will seem like they are discriminating against all the other countries, so you see why they cannot just allow republic now?

Add brazil to the licenses.
And yeah, republic of ireland is exactly like france, netherlands, germany and belgium. But being far or close to the servers has nothing to do with the ip restrictions.
I think giggle had made a good post about what the UK was and the difference between Great Britain, the UK and england. -

Please understand that this was not implemented by Z8Games. The game has licensing restrictions and IP restrictions are done because we do not own the licenses in those ____ territories.
We are in talks about Ireland, however according to a simple diagram like so:
You can see that only Northern Ireland falls under the area of the UK. The republic of Ireland celebrated it's independence from the United Kingdom in the 30's. -

omg finaly a thread that not closed about the bands. I have 2 friends in ireland and only time we talk is on z8 crossfire. So they have accounts they all good, but even if u give the BR's there owne server they will come over to oures. I hate hackers not BR's. My BJJ teather is BR and even he says they all no good. lol.
Any way just keep up on the ip bands from haks. I know u doing the best u can but for all of us who play everyday its not enought. If we c any haks get ip ban right away we would feel better but we c no diff from day 2 day. Sorry thats just how it is. Haks are part of the game now. So sad -
