There's still debate about whether drinks like soda help you gain water as opposed to lose water. The ones with caffeine, which is a diuretic, can cause you to lose more water than you are taking in when you drink the soda. The getting dehydrated by soda part.
It seems to affect people differently but at least in my personal experience, drinking soda causes me to get dehydrated (aka pee a lot). -
Getting dehydrated isn't limited to just losing water by sweating. If your body is p1ssing out more water than it is taking in, you are going to get dehydrated.Well getting dehydrated and pi**ing out what you drink isn't exactly the same thing..
One is a potentially fatal condition, the other one is natures way of messing with us. -
Like I said, it seems to affect people differently.I spent 2 years drinking nothing but coke, never with any hydration issues.
Now I'm drinking nothing but water, same thing.
Guess I'm just lucky.
The only "drink" that doctors/scientists agree on as being a diuretic for everyone, is alcohol. -

I was never a soda freak, nor coffee. I'll never understand America's problem with the drinks, coffee taste like...crap. Soda is OKAY if I'm out at a restaurant or something, usually I'll just get Iced Tea. I've never really understood the point in Energy Drinks either.
