Spiking Problem ?

I had the same problem...it was really weird.
But I got it fixed aftering trying allot of stuff but these where probably the options that fixed it:



1: Reinstall CF (If that didn't help continue to step 2)
2: Scan you pc for viruses use malwarebytes and avast and chose the boot scan option for avast(If that didn't work continue to step 3)
3:Get zonealarm free firewall (When you get popups from xtrap/hwcg/g4xbox or something like that tries to acces the internet allow it if it's from a weird as ip you never seen before deny it or look more info about it.)

Zonealarm will be the best option atm because I noticed it blocks allot of weird incoming Ip's that suck up my bandwidth while I was playing CF

Just do the steps I told you and try out zonealarm
Try it trust me... I had the same problem my pc is fine 100% it's something with CF.
But after I installed zonealarm the spiking stopped!

I had this problem for 15 mins after update and now everything is alright.

Yes, I have the same problem. I regularly run CCleaner, scan my computer, and use Game Booster and GBoost to shut down other processes. My ping is usually 44/45. Then one day in a prison match, I thought I saw speeders so I was like "Is that a speeder or a lagger?" in the chat. I pressed tab to check his ping and it turned out it was mine! I had over 360 ping! I couldn't fathom how my ping increased bout 8 times, everything was normal. I restarted CF, had the same problem. The next day it was fine, but I didn't do any troubleshooting that day. =/

Also, with the patch, my ping seems it permanently increased by 10-15. ;'(
