Problems with Windows 7

Ever since this years spring patch the game just randomly freezes on me, and in game (if you're lucky enough to get in game) you cannot see chat, you cannot see the IGN of the people who load after you, and sometimes the game just randomly stops responding.

I doubt the problem is just my computer since a lot of people have had this problem (most of which seem to have a windows 7 OS) and I reformatted my computer but still it didn't work (I didn't reformat for crossfire, I updated a LAN driver which somehow became corrupted and wouldn't load on startup).

I quit this game hoping that when I came back (four months later) that they would have resolved this issue, apparently I've been disappointed.

And before you ask, yes I've searched for answers via the search function, they don't give me any answers.
