So why doesn't simple port forwarding stop the Hack Tool Detected problem?
So I've forwarded the 3 TCP/UCP ports for both my firewall and my router (Lynksis Model: BEFW11S4 V4), and also enabled network discovery, AKA Universal Plug n Play, and yet my the connection is still being blocked between my computer and thus the problems such as "Hack Tool Detected" and "2523574-3" still appear ingame, and they are consistently popping up at nearly every half hour. Disabling my windows firewall in addition to my router firewall have not fixed my problem, so I'm not sure what else could be blocking the connection. /Help.

I had the error constantly (I couldn't play 10 minutes without getting the error) which caused me to quit crossfire for a while. Then one day I found that the error has mysteriously stopped. Despite doing everything you did (and then some) the error just went away one day and didn't come back.
