You can try changing the path to -tcp or -upd. This will run crossfire in a different style. Also right click the icon and change it to your computers settings, such as Windows 7 if you got a windows 7. Also try port forwarding the ports for crossfire (Info link; http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=79815 ). There are lots of solutions. I have this same problem, and it seems to not be working either.
