For our CrossFire, it's from 300,000 - 400,000 active.
For all of the CrossFire versions (China, Japan, Korea, Phillippines, Vietnam, and NA/EU combined), you're looking at numbers in the millions.
It's safe to say that CrossFire is the most played free-to-pay shooter. -

There are over 770000 accounts that have been registered at least from data gathered from Cross Fire's Facebook. Additionally, we should know that many people make alternate accounts and get the USP for fun.
I would assume somewhere in the range of 300000 to 500000. -
I agree with the 300,000 on the NA/UK, but for the Asian ones...
CF china reaches over 1 million easily, any teen with a computer will play CF. I even have 7-UP promotional pads showing CF! (it has a golden AWM piccy on it-JELLY). Even my neighbour plays it, though he sucks. (showed him how to listen in GM-he's more like a TDM with Golden gatling gun. yes, i know. I'm friends with a BR.)
CF korea, maybe not as much as china, due to the fact South K. has awesome computers, so more people play AVA or high end shizz.
there's a song about CF too, which show the popularity in china >.< though we tend to play social games, like cards and stuff -
