IMO why CF > CS:S

Now, in terms of fair comparison, Counter-Strike Source is far more balanced and playable ATM, but back in its early days, I seriously felt that Cross Fire competed with it.

v

CF

Pros

-Number of weapons
-Casual playability

Cons

-Recent trends in membership have caused a culture barrier
-Reg/Hitbox issues
-Many unbalanced weapons
-Hacks, so many hackers

CS:S

Pros

-Full Character/Weapon Skin Customization
-Excellent reg system and "competent" AI
-VAC, and Steam integration
-Source engine

Cons

-Playstyle is a little... "hardcore" for new players, and the bots don't offer much actual practice
-Very small selection of weapons, and skins won't change the stats

Now, by looking at that list, you would almost say I like CS:S more, but TBH, it's not as FUN as CF, which is casual as hell for an FPS. Besides, I only know like 3 people on steam, 1 with CS:S :(

(Also, post your Steam IGN so I will have more than 3 friends)

  • you can't really compare the two when they CF attracts 2 types of audiences, while source is more for competitive people. Source wins because at least it's stable on the competitive side, while CF isn't stable on either competitive or casual gaming.

 You didn't use the chart.

And what I was saying was that I was comparing the general opinions of fellow CF forumers as to the likability of both games. I already own it, and have it skin'd to sh*t, but I just want some basic data. That and some friends :D
  • CrossFire is a free to play, Counter-Strike:Source (or series) are buy-able. Meaning more work was/is put on CSS then CrossFire - even though people do work on CrossFire, they isn't much momentum since they can't be a 'top seller'.

WHY DOES NO-ONE USE THE CHART?!? Anyways, like I said, it's a data collection sort of thing. I really just need opinions on both the Pros and Cons of each. At least one each.

I didn't use the chart because like I stated you can't compare the two.

*Facepalm* It is exactly like comparing apples to oranges... that are free. You can compare the too, as each has an upside and downside. If you didn't compare the two, you would always have some of each because you couldn't like one more than the other.
  • I go for CSS, better reg system and comunity
