would it be possible for you guys to give out details about all New Account Registrations per Country since 26th of July? That would really be interesting. Just the numbers, nothing specific.

I'm gonna guess, its over 1k easy 10+ per hacker and since there are not 100 hackers in this game, I do say over 9000 accounts :)
  • What are you asking again? English isn't my primary language and i don't seem to get it.
  • Well, implying that accounts made after the announcement made wouldn't be blocked with those rules anyways. Hopefully, any accounts made outside of NA and the UK after that announcement was made will have those rules set unto them.

On the subject of asking if the GMs and MODs could release personal information, that can't happen. It's against the Terms of Service that we all agreed to. It stated that our personal info [as in date account was created] would not be used in any information.

It would prove a point, but it can't happen.

How many accounts were created after this thread was made: http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=165034

Why you want to alert them about the restriction your gonna put so they take their time to make as many accounts possible before this changes go live.

It makes no sense to me, but that's what is happening.

It doesn't have to be that day, its been 2 days and as far I know they were more than the regular daily accounts created.
  • Its not yet working,I made an account and was able to join a server with my croatian IP.

it´s not important what will or will not happen after the registration. i just want to know about new registrations per country. no private/personal data will be given out.

    e.g UK 600 Accounts
    NA 2300 Accounts

    etc

My bad, I misread your thread. That would be practical, but really, all it would do is prove a point that the IP restrictions wouldn't work.

And that's the reason why this thread was made.

I'm not sure what you would want this information for, or how you would use it.

The end result however is that demographic and marketing information is not available for public consumption.

While some f2p games have recently released some "rounded" numbers. It would be impossible to speak to those companies (including ours) about the type of information you are requesting.

The focus should not be on this. And it just seems that you are just looking for another excuse to discriminate, judge or persecute some location or country or group of people.

You misread his post, he wants the number because he wants to know at least how many people got alerted about the IP restriction changes that will go live soon, making 100's of accounts for this matter, he never aim'ed at a single country or a group of people, nothing specific but you get the point.

You made a thread on the 26th July, this means a hacker(1) could of made some extra alternative accounts before this goes live. This thread was made to know about how many people made alternative accounts to cheat on before it actually restricts them. I'm sure there are some legit people there, but it was towards the cheaters as thread started stated.

thanks for that feedback. i would not use this information in any way other than to look at it, out of personal interest. i never took part in bashing/stereotyping people from specific countries, but i understand that your are being skeptical, because it happens alot in the community.

    anyways, thanks for your time.

My point is that it actually doesn't matter. It really makes no difference how many accounts were made "because of a post". Accounts get made over time.

An IP restriction on the servers does come with an added benefit of increasing the accounts value for someone who wants to continue to play with Z8Games. Which may result in a reduction of users intending on breaking the rules of the game, over time.

But it really doesn't matter based on amount of accounts made. Or assumptions from the community or stereotypes. The focus should be on playing the game, and improving the community and continuing to report those users to we can take care of them! Not worrying about what restrictions are, and who is being removed or restricted etc.

    You're missing the point bro.

Obviously the IP restrictions are being put in place for a reason, right? So wouldn't it be a shame if your effort went to waste, at least partially?

Hedshot-BR finds out that IP restrictions are going to be put into place by reading your forum posts. He realizes that they have not been put into place yet, so he makes 50 new accounts to give away to people. Isn't that a potential 50 players that are now playing the game in the servers you didn't want them to play in?

And it's fine if you don't want to publish any sign-up statistics, but I don't think you understand why he's interested in them.
  • the restrictions dont bother me, so I dont care.
