Can the z8 Crossfire model continue?
why do I ask? the z8 model is free to play but pay to play for more fun.
that model works.. in MMORPG's. but the current z8 model is not working. why not? I list
the reasons below:
get xp for gp?
if ***ors continue to roll through then gp really means nothing. Hackers get the same benefits of someone who play alot and is good.
well if it's a pay to play game what are my benefits to buying zp?
You get better guns. all that is nullified by the rampant ***ing. I believe in supporting
the game and buying cool guns, I don't want over powered guns. If I buy them, I want to support the game and development of new maps guns etc. If you don't fine, enjoy the purity of a free game.
Currently there are not benefits for buying zp as hacking is so rampant. It's hard to determine whether someone is actually good or just waiting until the last map to wipe people out. Hackers are getting smarter and just doing various techniques of disguising they're hacks.
bottom line.. this model will fail if hacks continue to be rampant. NOONE buys zp if they
have no advantages and or feel the game does nothing to keep hacking down.
As an example I played today , I couldn't finish a whole map without getting at least one hacker. I do my part reporting but I feel it's putting a finger in a dam that's just getting ready to burst.
Crossfire is a great game, and I love playing it. I don't mind losing, fair, but this game will be like countless other's, dead. I rarely see high ranking people anymore as most have migrated to other games or just doing private matches. Private matches are fun but cannot sustain the model that z8 games is striving for.
Prediction, about 6-8 months , word gets around the internet fast, and either this game will die, if population of it already hasn't declined, or it can be great. z8 games has the decide on more maps or more effort to reducing the hacks.

Anyway, I agree. Why buy legitimate ZP when there are so many hackers that will ruin your gameplay and the potential edge?
And then there's the fact we have overpowered GP guns that are better than the ZP ones. Such as M12s, and Scar Light.
The only reason you would want ZP is if you like buying characters and accessories (which is stupid since the game is in first person) or you're hitting the BM. Even Black market guns are overshadowed by the OP GP guns, hackers, and the fact it's not even guaranteed you'll get it. You'd only want it to look good and legit, otherwise there's almost no gameplay edge.
I'm also in favor of the business model being revamped. They probably make enough sales already, but a change would benefit both them, and the community. Any potential ideas? -

To be honest i hardly ever find hackers and if you want less hackers play with a team full of people you know or your clan so you know the kickvote will go through. I don't mind how crossfire is at the moment. and they are trying there best to ban all the hackers. -

You can't make things overpowered because that turns off other players. I hate seeing cash-shops where people just spend ungodly amounts of money to get the best gear and pretty much render anything against them useless (Mostly MMORPG's). Remember this game is free to play, which in my eyes, should mean that it's fair for everyone, regardless is they spend money or not. Yes zp guns should be better but not give you an "edge" per say. +5 bullet increase is nice, maybe slightly better accuracy, but making it stronger and a powerhouse is just not the right thing to do.
I can't tell you how many games I've been turned off from just because the cash shop made things overpowered, and pretty much made you have to pay to reap the benefits of the game.
(Though it doesn't really apply to an FPS since it's so fast paced OP guns don't matter)
