Need help cf file watcher

OK first solution is always try REDOWNLOADING it from a different mirror.

second solution is that if you have a friend who plays crossfire and it works fine with him take the crossfire folder from him on a CD or whatever and just put it on your desktop, then, go into the folder and run patcher_cf.

Now a reason why it might be saying that.
There might be a program disturbing the process of crossfire.exe which is most likely an anti virus or a firewall.
