far away from modem, no phone jack in my room or in other rooms around it, any ideas?

Wireless seems your only option here, go buy one of those USB wireless sticks, they're like $4.

btw, i have 2 cable jacks right next to each other in my room, like wdf is with that!! why couldnt one be a phone jack?

Most home line providers should come out and install new phone jacks to any room for a small fee.

Drills a hole through the floor to downstairs and put the cable through that, or the easier way - out the window and through another window and to the modem.

Or just buy wireless
