  • Hrm, I don't know what your preference is so I'll just list a couple I liked.

Death Note- Head-game anime that keeps you guessing the entire time, has some "how the...?!?!" moments in it, 40 something episodes to the series and there is a dubbed version to it. More for those who like to think while watching, rather than those who love instant action.

Bakemonogari- Wierd artstyle to it, arguably on purpose, mainly a anime focused on dialog between characters. Around 12 episodes, subbed only though, about various people and what holds them back in a way. Requires you to read quickly and see through what's being said, heavy on symbolism.

Code Geass: Basically it's a action version of Death Note, but is way less dark. Two seasons to it of around 20 something episodes each. To enjoy this anime, or the manga, you gotta be able to handle mecha being a constant theme. Subbed and Dubbed versions as far as I know.

Eureka Seven: A drama about a 13-15 year old boy who goes to live the life that he dreamed of, but learned what it actually was. Messes with your mind a bit, and has a lot of combat in it, there are 50 episodes of it. I think there is a subbed and dubbed version, but I'm not sure about the dubbed one.

    Good subbed site : animeseason.com
    Good sub/dub site: animefreak.tv/ also gogoanime.com

Looking at the other posts I guess I was too serious making the recomendations >.>

There are so many "evil genius" flicks in this world, while it's true Death Note is top of the game at that. It's still overrated! The moment L dies, that's when the anime should have ended. But it didn't, it just went down hill after that.

And code geass had a bitter sweet ending that'll leave you with either a "it was good" or "WHYYYYY?!" reaction.

If you want to see a real mind fck of an anime, watch Paranoia agent.

What kind of anime title is that? LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG.

There are some good anime movies that I'd recommend, something like Akira, which is a classic. Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke and Karigurashi no Arrietty, all of which are by the same director. Great movies, fantastically animed and fun to watch with a solid plot.

For comedy and laughter I'd recommend Great Teacher Onizuka, funny as hell, and Gintama.

You can see all the animes I'm watching or watched, want to watch, etc here

I've watched spirited away and akira, if the other 2 are as good, I'll go DL/stream.

    YES, GINTAMA!

I used to watch it with a few other e-friends a while back, HILARIOUS!!

I was trying to remember what it was called. TY

Yeah, death note was at it's best with L in it. I still liked it tho.
  • Also, stop all this shlick talk.

I don't want this thread to become to perverted and have to close.
  • Mnemosyne and Red Garden are two different animes.

Soul Eater is alright... could be better imo.

    Then who is Luke?
  • SirDeity wrote: »
    Then who is Luke?

    Katsura/Techdawg.

The guy that watches anime and plays grand chase with me/us.
  • Deadman Wonderland - A massive earthquake ravaged Japan's mainland and destroyed most of Tokyo, sinking three-quarters of it into the ocean. Ten years later, the story shifts to Igarashi Ganta, a seemingly ordinary student attending Nagano Prefecture's middle school. An escapee, a survivor of the great earthquake, Ganta has no memories of the tragedy and has lived a normal life. This all changes when a strange man covered in blood and crimson armour floats through his classroom windows. Grinning madly, the Red Man massacres Ganta's entire class but instead of killing him, embeds a red crystal shard in Ganta's chest. Within days of the massacre, Ganta is declared the sole suspect and, following a quick trial, is sentenced to life imprisonment in Deadman Wonderland, a massive theme park like prison.

The anime is more an intro to read the manga, because the anime has ended with an open end.

GC has had allot of talk about it being shut down, due to their big refferal event.

    Does Tech play CF?

I personally don't think GC will shut down, but there is a really high chance... the game didn't really take off in America, it doesn't draw much money.

And yes, Tech plays CF. His Xfire is Katsuracf his ign is Katsura.

Yeah, it's WAY bigger in BRland.
I think they got a new character over there and Mari's 4th.

Maybe we could convince all the players to go play that instead since they have their own servers.

    Izzy should go play.

It actually sounds great from that description, if it does have a season 2 and doesn't drop of unfinished I'll watch.

Like I said, I doubt it will shut down in america.

But let's drop this discussion. Forum rules and what not.

Gintama is good for a chuckle now and then, Desert Punk is still my favorite for comedy.

What the guy above me said. You can stream HD quality, it is still a tad fishy but far better than taking ages to download them.
