WW-2 Gun The FG42 & Mp40 & M1897 Trench Gun
Mp 40- The most Robust and ingenious weapon of the german arsenal... A must have for Cross fire... it is a balanced gun yet could take the m12 off the market because of how well it is known.
FG 42- Big Bullets and a Big gun equal This little baby from Nazi Germany... it would give people something to have and want...the look of this gun is unusal. It would be a refreshing change to the game.

This is a modern shooter. Even though we have alot of old guns already, this isn't AvA. We aren't going to add every WWII gun. -

I never even KNEW what the m12 was before CF......and they made it a god gun. You have guns that win the military channel's best CQB weap (kriss) and it's worse than a gun that shoots a 9mm little pistol round.
The MP40 was a legendary gun. The M12 was....what is it even? I don't even know...
Taking from this they would say "oh the mp40 was really good" then buff it to the best smg in cf, making it a 4 hit kill or some crazy ****. -

with the 32 round mag, a slower RoF, lower damage but beefed up accuracy and reload speed, along with more ammo reserve, would make it a good gun to have .-.
the FG-42 would be like a semi sniper semi assault rifle, since it has an auto mode, but the recoil messes up your aim really quickly, along with the scope that many of these were issued with, would be like, really OP :x

SMG's are SUPPOSED to be OP. SMG = Close range weapons. It should be obvious why it's so powerful in close range. Why would they make a gun with rifle stats that sucks at long range? The kriss used to be stronger, but then it was nerfed. Why? Before it was nerfed, it was the real meaning of OP.
All three of these are WW2 weapons. But it doesnt mean they shouldnt come in. MP40 would be the M12's rival. FG42 would be the competitor of the M60 and RPK, and the Trench gun would just be fun to have since it's different from the other shotguns. I do think we need more modern guns before we put these in though...

Ok, those are all good ideas, (Id buy loads ZP to get my hands on an FG42) but, those are all European theater weapons. What about the Pacific? Like an Ariska sniper rifle or a Type 100 SMG? I know this is a modern shooter, but still, Id pay loads to get my hands on them. Heck, the AK-47 was developed in and produced after WWII in 1949, And look how many variations and Re-paints its got. Those guns are just a few years older.

Those are the first guns to come to mind when you think of "Pacific Theater" And i read through each one and i didnt see it. Ok then, how about a Nambu pistol?
The Nambu is a good idea. But just suggesting the gun, usually doesnt help. You need to suggest the stats, and make sure they are balanced stats. Not OP (for those of you who dont know, it means OVER POWERED.) I'll go see if it's been suggested already, and if it hasnt, i'll make a thread on it. BLEH. -

try to use the real specs from the gun to make a good base, like, if this is 9mm and do x damage, and that gun is a .45, then the damage should've be x+y, but with a bigger power decrease over distances :] -

Well bigger the bullet, the higher range it has depending on some guns it was fired from.
And the Nambu is a 8mm handgun, unless you're talking about the Luger, there are .45 ACP versions of it. -

i was just giving some examples of ammunition, but i don't think the .45 will travel longer than the 9mm .-. -

You're right, but it depends on the gun itself though since a rifle could make a handgun bullet travel farther than a handgun itself. Those are 2 completely different guns, unless you want me to get tough with handguns to handguns... :L -

yeah, depends on how well the weapon uses the energy contained in the powder inside the cartridge, but for instance, you could use the muzzle velocity to have a base on the weapon power .-. -

variety is what people want and like, otherwise we'd all have 1 gun, 1 map and that's all, if you don't like the mode or ideas don't use it duh. Unless you actually own crossfire, then you have every right to control it. -

Which means, if there is going to be WW2 weapons, it's going to be well out numbered by the Modern ones. thompson is not a modern weapon, it is actually a pre wwII gun btw. Dragunov was introduced in the 60's so again, not modern imo.
do you work for z8? how do you know all these things? it's labeled as a first person shooter and yet there's knife only modes and mutants!! your logic fails. If z8 thinks it would be good for the game you better believe they will add it. Your English is excellent for a br btw. congrats. -

No **** the thompson is old, but it's made a great impression on the world, SO it's came in. JUST like the Mauser. SO, I'll say AGAIN, if they bring in old weapons, then they are going to be greatly outnumbered by the new ones. Dragonov may be old, but it's in modern weaponry and battles, which makes it a 'modern weapon' other then the invention date. THAT is why it's in here. FYI, AK47 is old, but used still. SO, it's considered a modern weapon. Those MM modes are here for fun. It keeps the people's attention. But as you can see, WW2 doesnt keep everyones attention. SO, it's not here.

First thing...the Mp40 is the Grand daddy of the Modern Sub machine gun... if it has a 32 round clip and more recoil then and less fire rate then M12 is would be even. The FG42 would be a lighter Machinegun... a catergory which doesn't have Machineguns with low amounts of Ammo. The trenchgun would boost up the shot guns which have none in it's catergory...as for the Thompson changing the world...ever hear of the M 1 garand....the most famous american rifle other then m16.

no one said to make it a ww2 game, but maybe just add that as an option/map to add some variety like restricting guns, anyway it wouldn't be mantatory but just an option, I'm American btw
