Wouldn't let you hear sounds across the map. This game is 2.1 sound aka Stereo sound. The only thing you could do is make sounds louder, and I'm pretty sure there's a cap on how far you can hear a ghosts breath

No amount of EQ settings can make you hear breath across the map. I will argue with this til the day you prove me otherwise. Once again, not calling hacks.

I can somehow hear the breathe across the map, it's called a bug. It doesn't always happen, just barely.

Bug has been not fixed yet since GM started.
