I find ESL/WOGL rather funny...
What's the point of it? I thought 1v1's should show skills, no GP crates or ZP crates? M4C is harder to use than M4A1, P90-camo sucks, I understand no SMG's (LOL 1v1 SMG da fck?) but no AK-Camo or Deagle Camo? Why not?
But no, Ship TD isn't allowed there, only SnD maps, and someone told me something about no jumping or crouching? You kiddin' me? Hardscoping isn't allowed either (I don't like hardscoppers either but thats harsh). Thats what a guy told me...
SPOP has the same hitboxes as any character, it was proven countless times, but yet some First LT Farmer can't stop talking about "LOLOLOLOL SPOP + BERETTA NOOB", whats so good about the Beretta? I don't see it this often, ok maybe it's a good weapon because you can spray, 1 shot and burst, but you can do the same with the AK, I can use the AK too but I sold it for Anaconda-adv crates (and I didn't got it -.-").
Now to the idea of this thread... Whats this ESL hype? The anti-cheat engine is OK I like it, but the rest? Whats so good about it? IMO ESL is for lazy kids who cannot aim. I mean I remember when 1v1's were just 1v1's years ago, where you just wouldve challenge the person and accept a "no" and not be like "OMG SCARED OMG". I don't 1v1 rifles anyways, I find it pointless so I go with sniping 1v1's, I can't go on Ship TD because ESL says no.
Yet I don't use armor and I get 3.0KDR's daily (sometimes I fall to 2.5 but hey w/e I play only SnD), is it because the SPOP is magically OP and aims for me? I don't think so.
I can play without SPOP too, I 1v1'ed without it many times. What's the idea? I've proven many pub clans that I can beat them all up in clutches, yet still people call me scared for not wanting to play with ESL/WOGL rules?
How I said before, if you want to 1v1, you 1v1 with all you have, I accept a no SPOP 1v1 but maybe I like my AWM-Camo or AWM-Red Drag more than the normal one, or maybe I don't have the normal one.

Btw I think I should printscreen how many times some your members failed, it's kinda annoying, and it damages how your clan is being seen (in terms of sportmanship, insults, QQ's etc I don't care of scores).

In the game of competition, the object of the game is to provide a fair and balanced ground. Allowing weapons that you can win from the element of "chance", without an absolute guarantee of winning, tends to mess up that balance. Not everyone can access those weapons and therefore shifts the scale more to one side. Jumping and crouching is perfectly legal. However, you are not allowed to boost (single or otherwise) onto other objects or places using another person on your team. There are too many spots that would have to be argued and documented in order to account for all the legal boost spots. The argument with the SPOP is simple. Yes, they have the same hitbox, but they APPEAR to be skinner (their body width on the screen). To some, that makes it harder to hit than others, since most won't aim for the empty air next to the SPOP's character where the hitbox still exists. Also, with the idea of not allowing ZP items, this applies as well. We want a fair rule set remember?
The Beretta is again another weapon that can be won only by chance. The objective is to allow the most balanced range of weapons and allowing weapons that are not a 100% guarantee of acquiring, would certainly tip that balance.Now to the idea of this thread... 1v1's in this game are not really wanted by the majority of competitive players. This game isn't suited for "competitive" 1 versus 1 matches because of the simplicity of the game. Unlike a game such as Quake Live, there are no power-ups, armor-ups, and such to help make a 1 v 1 match-up interesting. It's just one player shooting at another player, there's no element to it that would make people want to either play it or spectate it for that matter. This isn't the game for that kind of competition.
ESL and WOGL are both leagues that attempt to provide a higher ground of competition. Team Death Match is again not a highly regarded competitive mode because frankly most competitive teams don't play it. Search and Destroy will ALWAYS be the main competitive mode. Look at Counterstrike 1.6, Counterstrike: Source, Call of Duty, Battlefield. They ALL support Search and Destroy as one of the main competitive modes. That's simply the generally accepted practice for a League and I apologize, but it's not going to change any time soon.
With all that being said, whoever informed you of the information you had, is quite mistaken. Please consult the WOGL or ESL section to clarify your facts before making such statements. It doesn't make you look very good and it doesn't make the person you received the information from very good. I hope I answered some of your questions.
