[IN-GAME]HUD (Heads-Up Display) Improvements
I've been thinking on how CrossFire could improve it's HUD, and I put some work into this, please note, all the things I've added here are simulated, they were not actually taken in-game. (GIMP FTW!)
Don't bug me about the messy number labels. I wanted to get this done, so i didn't care about fancy numbers.

And now to explain.
#1
-EXPLANATION-
These little tabs show all the weapons in your current bag, with the one presently being used being lit up. Obviously to save room, they will be in short form.
-WHY THIS IS USEFUL-
When you are in the midst of a battle or other situation where you don't know what lies in your equipment, and you don't have time to check, (i.e. switching your weapon) this could be useful to tell if you have a good sidearm for the situation, or if you have a grenade left to throw.
#2A [The coloured bar between the GR and BL scores]
-EXPLANATION-
This little thing is pretty simple, i takes the scores of both teams, and puts them up to each other to determine how it is coloured.
Example: GR 8 | |8 BL in this example, the bar would be half blue (GR) and half brown (BL)
or GR 4 | |12 BL in this example, the bar would be 1/4 blue, and 3/4 brown.
-WHY THIS IS USEFUL-
Well, it's an easy way to tell if you are winning, by how much, and whether it was a close battle or not.
#2B [The yellow bars on both sides of the timer]
-EXPLANATION-
This one is a little more advanced. Each yellow bar represents the team's total health. (obviously the one under GR is GR's health, and the one under BL for the BL's health.) basically, if someone takes damage, that lowers the bar. the less people on the team, the more this will affect the bar. if the person dies, their 100 HP out of the teams total will be taken out of the bar. (Armour is not counted in this bar.) once said person respawns, their 100 health is added back to the bar, and the bar is filled however much. Etc.
-WHY THIS IS USEFUL-
It's good to know exactly how big of a punch you're putting on a team, especially when there's a lot of players. It's also helpful to know when a person respawns, to be ready for the attack. I'm sure people would find other uses for it.
#3 [The box with the character's name]
-EXPLANATION-
In case not everyone knows, the normal character is green, and when you get shot, the green level goes down, and changes colour, depending on the amount of damage you take. pretty much, instead of having this in the name box too, it would replace the name box with a section for AC, having it coloured blue, and going down when the AC takes damage.
-WHY THIS IS USEFUL-
It isn't. It's just like the character HP level, just for looks.
#4 [The yellow sections under the ammo display]
(Yes I know, they're misshapen. I'm not perfect, you know.
-EXPLANATION-
Pretty much, this is a bar to show all your ammo. when you shoot a little bit, the bar goes down a bit. When you spray all over the place like a crazed maniac, it goes down a lot. The current clip you are on is lit up. In this instance, a clip is referred to however much 1/4 of your total ammo is. In my case, this would be 35 bullets. This means that if you shoot 1 bullet and reload, the same section will still be lit up, and just go down however much one bullet makes it go down. however, if you were to shoot 34 more bullets, THEN that section would be empty, and the next one would light up. So, in my case, every time I shoot 35 bullets, no matter how many time i reload, it will go down one section, and the next one will light up.
-WHY THIS IS USEFUL-
When you are playing a game, (especially MM / HM) and you want to plan out your ammo accordingly, it's actually quite useful. Say you are trying to make it out of a battle alive, it's useful to know how much of your ammo you have left.
and least, and certainly not least,
#5 [The gun shapes in the top right corner]
No need to explain, just fix some of the shapes and names (like i fixed this SCAR-L), and add colour.
Thank you for reading, I know it was a long read, but I think there are many good ideas, and if you do too, I would appreciate it if you gave me support and your own ideas are welcome.
Also, please don't troll. Support is all I get in return for typing this huge long thing, just for you guys. Thank you for your time.

#1 How the hell do you not know what's in your equipment? Not to mention every time you change guns it shows everything you have anyway.
#2 Who is winning and by how much?
Can you not subtract 150 - X? Or whatever the goal is.
#4 ... It seems like you are just trying to make things look fancy. All it is doing is cluttering up the screen and making it harder to see things. -
#1 It's not difficult to remember two different weapons in your bag, surely?
#2 Isn't that why we have a scoreboard?
#3 Armour's pointless, let's not give it any more reason to be used.
#4 The weapon section tells you everything you'd want to know, why need more? -

Well, when you forget to change your weapons and equipment after a while of not playing, you tend to forget what's there, and forget to check what you have until you need it
#2
Yes, we do have numbers, but some people like a faster way to collect info during gameplay.
#3
like I said, just for looks.

How is four little yellow sections under the ammo cluttering up the screen? and plus, it helps a whole heck of a lot when managing your ammo in MM / HM -
On a side note, and don't take this as an insult.
Don't you dare use GIMP to create such a horrendous image again.
I thought you used paint or something, what the hell man?
it's GIMP. who cares how I use it? seriously? If you really think it's that bad, go complain somewhere else, I don't have the time / nor do I care about this nonsense -
