How does z8 get most of its money
Since alot of the users use surveys and other forms to get zp. I was wondering if the majority of the money comes in from hosting these or from people actually spending out of wallet money. I was just curious since the website is almost commercial free compared to others
On another note: how much does it cost to host this game a day since it has servers all over (UK, USA, Canada)

Server hosting can cost anything from 15p to £2 per slot/person, each day.
Price really depends on how much you're willing to maintain the servers yourself, the location of the servers, and their specs and speed.
For instance then the servers like alpha and bravo, does z8 pay a consistent rate to keep the servers up or do they just pay for the traffic? The reason I'm asking since I'm trying to understand how a free-to-play game in general can keep its "head afloat". Crossfire pays smilegate, x-trap, maintanence, staff (the list goes on). -

Usually, when a price is agreed, the servers are expected to function 24 hours a day, unless maintained by the purchaser to do otherwise. There's always an slight overhead on the limit of players each server holds (though I'm presuming all servers here can hold the same amount of players) so as to not overload server capacity.
Of course most of this goes out of the window if Z8 own their own servers, which I think they don't in the UK, and America South, at least.
Z8's the main money spender as far as any third party programs would be concerned, as they're taking on what is essentially a franchise. They take a huge percentage of the profits made from people buying ZP to use in Smilegate's game.
I guess the best way to perceive it is, just to think about how many people buy ZP each and every day, not to mention the huge rush before every patch. -
