[Weapons] HK SL-8 Variable Scope
The SL-8 rifle was first presented to the public at IWA-98 show, and manufacturing commenced late in 1998. This rifle was designed by famous German arms-making company Heckler und Koch GmbH on the basis of its 5,56mm NATO G36 assault rifle, which is a standard issue rifle of German and Spanish armies.
Modified with a variable scope and penetrating rounds, this gun is a must have for accurate riflemen that prefer taking down foes with precision rather than how much lead they sink in.
Ammunition: 10 / 100 (5.56x45mm / .223 Remington)
(Alternate/Advantage version could be 30 / 90 bullets)
Right Click Function: Variable Scope - x1 Zoom Scope / x2 Zoom Scope (SG55, AUG-A1, M4A1-E, Tar21 type scope.)
Reload Speed: Fast (1.9 Seconds.)
Damage Ratios:
Head: 100 Damage
Chest: 30-35
Arms: 23-28
Stomach: 33-38
Legs: 12-17
Wallbang: 20-45%
Accuracy:
Close: 100%
Mid: 100%
Long: 90%
Far: 80%
The zooming of the scope has little effect on the accuracy on the weapon but reduces the fire rate by 5% (4.2 RPS) in the first zoom and 10% (3.9 RPS) with the second.
Weight: 4.1 KG / 9lbs unloaded. (Slightly heavier than the M16.)
Fire Rate: 4.5 Rounds Per Second (on average).
Note: This gun acts more like a pistol than an assault rifles in terms of firing it. Where it does not continuously fire while holding down the mouse button. Mimicking the fire style of a P228 and D.Eagle. Making it the first rifle to have such an attribute.

Wait seriously? o..o I suggested an older version of this weapon back before I did for the DSR-1 but I thought adding a bit more function and uniqueness to it would be desirable. Damn.... -

Yeah its a sniper in that version, don't know if its good tho...
Which I find odd, considering the weapon itself isn't technically a 'sniper' by class. It's caliber fitted to it doesn't really make it powerful enough does it? Unless they messed with it somehow or its a different gun altogether. -

Yep, seriously. Its the first 3-shot kill light weight sniper. Its a bit OPed though, since it has 0 spread, very little recoil, and very fast semi-auto fire. So basically you just aim at the center of your victim. Even if you hit him in the gut on the first shot, your second short will hit him in the chest, and the third in the head in about a second at a distance of 100 meters.

Wouldn't mind seeing some footage of it at some point. The news is a bit disappointing however and the 'tape down mouse button' OP guns I find to be less than desirable. It's a shame they did so to this while making it OP. And you say its also a sniper? With actual sniper scopes or a different type?
Sounds like the only difference I have from it is the scope types, ammo and how it fires and how fast. Bummer. Thanks for the heads up at least. This thing wasn't really supposed to combat the sniper capability so easily but by the sounds of it they did. Was meant to be the 'accurate rifle'. -
