bought M4A1 because... I was a FPS newb when I started as well and this looked like a gun that looked like a gun XD. I didn't think the other ones looked like guns.

My purchasing pattern:
1. M4A1
2. Colt -Sold Colt-
3. Deagle
4. ScarLight (Got it back in Suba days when EVERYONE had one)
5. Bought another Colt
6. DSR-1
7. RPK
8. TAR21
9. MP5 (Always wanted to have an MP5

Oh, btw I didn't know I had a starting M16 until I was atleast a SSgt. I dropped my M4 alot picking up M16s because I thought my guns sucked, that was until I learned how to AWSOME with the M4
