I can't put a ? when I type in Crossfire.

okay sometimes when im in games I go to type a question mark and it doesn't let me? like it sucks because I cant whisper my friends or anything until I get out of the game. And when this problem occurs it sometimes means I cannot jump! please if anyone knows how to fix this please help.

Another thing. When I exit the game and start it up again I can put a question mark for a bit then I can't. It would be much easier if I didn't have to log out all the time:(
