I don't know why people dislike this melee weapon. Those who tryed it, say it sucks. Those who haven't, say it's noobish and overpowered. Seriousely, IMO, if mastered, it's fucking lethal! I just got it for 7 days, but it's my frieking favorite male weap. And I got a perm axe and shovel too. It's just unbeatebel if you have good timing, especially on single targets.

Anyone else who actually likes it / uses the melee weapon ?:D

I prefer kucri but Katana its cool, its a little heavy and for snipers its not very usefull because you shot, change to knife and jump to cover, with katana its more slowly so you can die. But for sewer its awsome.

Katana sucks because knifing in this game is all about LAG and MOBILITY using to LAG.

The stab is extra slow -- and if you HOLD the stab, you move REALLY slow. Then it just becomes easy for other people to run around you and stab you using their LAG. You'll notice most knifing involves running back and forth, between in range/out range waiting to catch you opponent offguard. If you sheathe your sword -- you cannot move out of range, and they can kill you when they feel like it.

Anyone that thinks the Katana is OP is merely uninformed and just bad. Anyone that thinks the Katana is a gun needs to go back to school.

I think that Katana isn't owerpowered. I'll say that Kukri is more owerpowered than Katana. Kukri's speed is fast as knife, damage is high just like on the Combat Axe, and finally, it's range is too large. DAMN!
