Allow Crossfire Stats for Signatures.

I believe that Crossfire Stat signatures should be allowed, they do not hurt anybody. We could have a limit of 400x80 or 200x40 pixels. iPhoenixi has been making beautiful ones lately. You could integrate some sort of Stat bar in User CP.

For iPhoenixi Crossfire stat bars, LOOK HERE:http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=161374

We Forumers need a little more freedom, and i think Crossfire Stat signatures is a WIN-WIN situation.Regular members may ONLY have Crossfire stat signatures, while MOD's and GM's may have any signature they choose.

What do you guys think?

  • This is a very hard thing to do on a forum like this. Being a past administrator for a vBulletin forum, you virtually only get the choice of allowing BBCodes [which are the codes you need in order to have images] or not allowing them. BBCodes are the [img][/img]insert image direct link here that you need to make images. There is no 'filter' to allow signature images with this prefixed link. It's as easy as that. The only way to do this would be to download a mod for vB or allow signatures to have BBCodes, which isn't planned for the near future because of hate campaigns that go around regularily.

Pheonix designed those stat signatures for the sake of designing so that you guys could use them on either a later date, or on another forum in which BBCodes were allowed.
  • In order to do this, a custom BB code would need to be made. While it's not impossible to do, it would simply not be a high priority.

When the forums finally receive their update to vB 4.x I'm sure something could be put into place for something like this. However at this time, it wouldn't work to well.

I was thinking this myself actually, and I'm sure they'd be willing to, once the forum updates are done and public.

    How about this:
There is a second signature below the first one that contains the ingame stats
You can turn tis signature on or off in the Signature settings, but you cannot change anything

this eliminates the point of re-scripting the first signature to allow only the stats

Yea, this sounds good. Saidin should get in contact with Phoenix.
  • Won't happen with the ideology of "it's pretty damn hard to do so we won't do it" that Z8Games officially supports.

    No offence.

I don't think I would get hired, lol.

Anyways, I do what I can as a member to show my support for the community. I'm working on my Fansite Kit Resources 2.0 at the moment.

Also, the script, .PSD and source for Stats Sigs will be completely available for anyone to modify, upload and use. It'll also be included in my fansite kit.
