WCG US Reviewed
Hello to the wonderful Cross Fire community out there as you are about to read a summary of the past 2 WCG qualifiers. As we all know they were very exciting and looks to be a competitive scene out there! Enough with me talking, lets get to the reviewing of WCG Qualifiers.
Lets start off with the 1st Qualifier for Cross Fire
Teams Entered:14
First round 5vs5 Search and Destroy Santoria; Black Widow
*PH vs Facedown.
Facedown taking this easily, 18-1 situation here. As *PH was a team I've never heard of, or saw. Facedown moved on to take on [INS].
Vanity vs Haigo
Vanity taking this as a No Show Win. It's very unfortunate that Haigo couldn't field five players to play Vanity
Flow vs LPK
I've heard a little bit about this match, but I can tell it was one of those matches you didn't want to miss, as LPK taking that match 17-10. Understanding that Flow seemed to only get 1 round on that first/second half of the map. Which is very upsetting for Flow as they won the first/second half. LPK moves on.
vVv.US vs DR
Wow, what an outstanding match by these two teams. Going to over time. Must have been a really exciting match to see, as vVv.US won that match 27-20. Hard fought battle from DR, not sure if many teams have heard of these guys or not, but they might be one of those teams to watch in the upcoming qualifiers for WCG. As we do have 2 more to go for Cross Fire. vVv.US Moves on!
HSW. vs xil
Not so much of a close match, nor a blow out. HSW takes this game 18-9 and moves on to play vVv.US. With a lot more practice by xil, they might have gave up more of a shot towards this team.
Ins vs #Stim
Ins moves on from a no Show. They take on the team of Fra[G]enius.
Round two 5vs5 Search and Destroy Downtown;Mexico
[INS] vs Facedown
Facedown taking this by a No Show Win, and moving on the Final Four in the WCG qualifier number one for Cross Fire
Vanity vs LPK
In the words of thedoop this match was "tough." This match would've been the one you wanted to see, with a very close score of 17-15 LPK taking the match. Moving on to the Final Four along with Facedown.
HSW vs vVv.US
This is a match that would've seemed to be a lot more closer then it actually was. 18-4 in HSW's favor after shutting down vVv.US at Downtown. HSW takes the win, moves on to the Final Four with LPK and Facedown. You have 3 out of the 4 teams so far for your Final Four.
Ins vs FraG
Ins taking this without a doubt on a very inactive FraG team that was around for a long time, but yet didn't practice much for this, still not losing to bad. Ins takes the win 18-9 and moves on to the Final Four. Now your Final Four is set with your teams of Lettin' Punks Know, Facedown, Headshot, she wrote, and Instinct!
Final Four Double Elimination 5vs5 Search and Destroy Round one Black Widow; Port
Facedown vs Ins
Tough match as you can tell by the score and by the threads afterwards. Man ole man wasn't that a night to see everyone on the forums about Facedown beating Ins 17-14. With a really good match there, Facedown moved on and Ins went to the bottom half of the bracket!
LPK vs HSW
Another hard match for LPK, yet not as close as the other LPK matches earlier in the Qualifier, but this was tough, especially it being the Final Four and everything matters at this point. LPK takes this match, 18-9 Moves on to play Facedown and HSW moved down to take on Ins after a tough loss to Facedown
Bottom Bracket 5vs5 Search and Destroy Mexico; Santoria
Ins vs HSW
Ins with a tough win over HSW as this was a really close match and one you would've want to seen! Ins wins to the score of 18-12, as Ins moves on HSW is eliminated and will have to try in the next qualifier.
Top Bracket 5vs5 Search and Destroy Mexico; Santoria
Facedown vs LPK
Another nice match in the WCG US Qualifier! Seems like we missed some tough and intense matches here! LPK pulling out and taking the game against Facedown 18-12. LPK moves on the Finals! Facedown moves down to the lower bracket plays Ins once more time for Sudden Death!
Bottom Bracket 5vs5 Search and Destroy Port; Black Widow
OUTSTANDING! Very close match once again with Ins taking the win 21-20 in over time! How upsetting was this for a tough loss? Very Intense match and this one out of all would've been the favorite match to watch! If someone had the replays and wanted to do it, they should do a late cast on this! Anyways Facedown was eliminated and will have to come back to the next qualifier! Ins moves on to play LPK in the finals!
Finals match 5vs5 Search and Destroy Factory; Ceyhan
LPK vs Ins
A great match that everyone missed but the ten players playing! A very intense, hard fought match but at the end of the day one team fell short and one team got the victory! Who got the victory? LPK!! LPK takes the WCG US Qualifier #1 for Cross Fire!
Winner: Lettin' Punks Know (LPK)
After waiting nearly a month, and giving more teams to sign up and get practice in, on comes the next WCG US Qualifier! Recently Finished on 7/7/11! Enjoy the read!

First Round 5vs5 Search and Destroy Santoria; Black Widow
1L2L vs FraG
Not a close match, with a huge difference in the score as 1L2L takes the match 18-4, moves on to the Round two playing Hon!
dws vs HMD
DWS with a tough win over HMD 18-15. DWS went on after a tough battle with a tough team! DWS looks forward to round two!
ARK vs eotL
eotL taking this match without a problem against a newly formed competitive side of Cross Fire ARK! 18-1 taken by eotL, ARK loses and will have to try in another qualifier! eotL moves forward!
Facedown vs Furreal?
Facedown takes this by a No Show win, takes another step toward the big stage!
Xil vs S&F
Xil taking this by a small margin 11-10 and moving ahead to round two! S&F upsetted by a newer team!
HSW vs BAS
Basic and Headshot, she wrote with a tough match and one of the closer matches out of the First round in the Qualifier! HSW takes the win, but not by much! 18-13, HSW moves on and Basic is eliminated!
Second Round 5vs5 Search and Destroy Downtown; Mexico
Hon vs 1L2L
Very strong 1L2L team takes this one by far with an 18-1 win over Hon! 1L2L moves on to Round Three! Hon is eliminated!
Ins vs 2D4U
Ins taking this win, overall Ins has been around a lot longer then the team they played! Ins moves on and taking the match 18-1. 2D4U is eliminated!
ex vs dws
dws, takes this one without a sweat! DWS wins 18-0, moves on! ex is eliminated!
eotL vs SLWK
eotL taking this game without a 'roadblock' and moving on to play a much tougher and hard opp. in a more intense game against DWS!
Facedown vs VNK
Facedown, stepping up to VNK and say nope, your not taking this one! Facedown takes another win! 18-0 over VNK! Facedown moves on and VNK is out!
Xil vs Alone
Xil taking the free-ride to the next round with a No Show Win! They take on the hot team, Facedown! Alone, fails to show, which means they fail to move on!
LL.USA vs USMC
LL.USA taking the win over USMC by a far margin, 18-3! LL.USA moves on to round three and USMC is out!
HSW vs PHB
HSW, taking another match against a lower tier team, 18-0 HSW wins! PHB is put out, and have to try there luck next time!
Third Round 5vs5 Search and Destroy Port; Factory
1L2L vs Ins
1L2L taking there previous matches against two decent teams, but now its time to step up and play with a bigger team, Ins! Elijah from 1L2L says, "After we took the first three rounds, Ins stepped up there team work and out worked 1L2L!" Elijah also explained "That it isn't always easy and you can't win them all, but overall I'm happy with the way we played and looking to get them come Third Qualifier." Ins wins 18-9 over a tough match with 1L2L. Ins Moves to the final four! and 1L2L is out!
dws vs eotL
Another hard fought intense match! One of the closest matches with the community suspecting this one to not even be worth talking about! eotL stepped it up, but fell just a tad short of dws! dws takes the win 16-13! eotL is eliminated! dws moves on the final four along with Ins!
Xil vs Facedown
A big margin win leads Facedown to the Final Four with DWS and Ins! 18-7, in favor of Facedown! xil is eliminated!
HSW vs LL.USA
WOW! Another good match that us, as the community missed! After a late missed shot for HSW, LL.USA took advantage, took the round and won the match 14-13! LL.USA moves to the final four! Now you have your Final Four Set, Facedown, do work son, LifeLine.USA and Instinct! HSW is out and will have to come back later!
Double Elimination 5vs5 Search and Destroy Mexico; Factory
Ins vs LL.USA
Ins taking a tough match against LL.USA, Ins took it with there nice teamwork, and out worked a very nice team, LL.USA! 17-13, Ins moves on LL.USA goes to the lower bracket!
dws vs Facdown
dws taking this match, it wasn't the closest, but it was a tough one! 18-10 dws takes the win over Facedown, dws moves on to take on Ins! Facedown moves to the lower bracket to play LL.USA
Lower Bracket 5vs5 Search and Destroy Downtown;Port
Facedown vs LL.USA
Facedown getting back up on that horse and taking the win, 17-13, with a very hard match for Facedown, hearing they don't play the game much anymore, and don't have time to practice! Facedown has another chance for one step closer! LL.USA is eliminated and is out! 3 teams left, who will it be?
Upper Bracket 5vs5 Search and Destroy Downtown; Port
Ins vs dws
Ins taking the win at a very competitive map, Downtown! With a very tight, strained match with Ins! Ins wins 17-14! Ins moves on the finals! Ins once again in the finals, will they take this Qualifier or will they choke? Lets find out and see! DWS plays Facedown for blood! Winner moves on and loser is gone!
Lower Bracket 5vs5 Search and Destroy Ceyhan; Santoria
dws vs Facedown
What a tough match, match by both teams with dws edging out Facdown by 4, 15-11 final score! do work son moves on to the championship, Facedown loses a tough one and is eliminated! Looking for there first Championship appearance! Dren pulls out a rare 5k and Facedown comes up short! Just kidding! Dren, is a good player and did a lot for his team!

dws vs Ins
dws takes the first game and tough game 14-9! With game two coming up, being everything for both teams!

Does Ins choke or does dws? The final score being 14-9 of game two, the winner is ..... DO WORK SON! DWS Takes Qualifier number two for Cross Fire! Instinct bites there taco and loses once again in a tough situation! DWS moves on, we have two of the four teams for our Nationals! Who will the next two be?
