Haven't seen any benchmarks, but I'm hoping AMD has finally surpassed Intel in the performance of their processors. I don't think this APU (Graphical - Processing Chipset?) is good for users seeking maximum performance in their games. I have yet to watch the video, I'm just making judgements.

cool, can you post feedback later when you're able to watch the video?TASTYYYLIMES wrote: »Haven't seen any benchmarks, but I'm hoping AMD has finally surpassed Intel in the performance of their processors. A couple reviews of the socket FM1 boards & Llano APUs have already been posted by review sites; here are some:
Legit Reviews:
ASUS F1A75-M Pro Socket FM1 APU Motherboard http://legitreviews.com/article/1644/1/
AMD A8-3850 2.9GHz Llano APU http://legitreviews.com/article/1649/1/
They compare it with the i3-2105 in this one.
Hardware Canucks:
AMD A8-3850 APU Review. Several different CPus were compared with it...ranging from a i7-980X, 2nd gen i7 ,i5 and i3, Phenom II six-cores, to 1st gen Intel CPUs.http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/44338-amd-a8-3850-apu-review-llano-hits-desktop.html
Other sites such as Techpowerup, Tweaktown, etc all have their own reviews. just look around.
In my opinion, they perform really good, considering being very new technology CPU + GPU in one chip. The price isn't high either; you can grab a APU & motherboard for the price of an Intel CPU! They clearly aren't for the people who want to run games at absolute maxiumum with 200FPS+ in games or beat the world record in synthetic benchmarks such as 3DMark11, 3DMark Vanatge, Unigine, etc. For mainstream users for some casual gaming, HD/Blu-Ray content that want a low power consumption PC. -
If you want lime's help specifically, PM him. Don't make a thread targetting at just one person. That's what the PM system is for.
As for the APU, the CPU part of it gets beat by the lowest end i3s. The GPU part of it is great though. Llano is great for people building HTPCs and who just want a simple, compact machine.

cool, might put it in my low budget build for myselfTASTYYYLIMES wrote: »On topic. This processor is basically an AMD Phenom x2/4 with an integrated low-mid range GPU. They're suitable for people on a budget, but definitely not somebody with big bucks to spend on a PC.
technically its beneficial to the community and if tasty doesnt respond others will. another thing, you dont know enough about these forums yet to post about rules.Kedaamikeda wrote: »If you want lime's help specifically, PM him. You have 1500 posts and don't know the basic forum rules. Kind of sad if you ask me. And what makes you think this is my first acc?
Anyways, title your threads more appropriately in the future. -
