This has been like this for a few months now, isn't it supposed to be a shotgun?

It's not a shot gun. It's a Winchester "rifle".

No, it's not an assault rifle.
It's a rifle, if it was a shotgun, you would see MORE than one shot when you shoot at the wall.

its kinda a sniper and a shot gun becasue its a slow shooting 1 shot acurate sniper but its range is very bad and so bad that some shot guns have more range than the winchester

What you are saying IS right, however it feels closer to a shotgun then an assault rifle, since there is no "Rifle" category, although it says RIFLE in the upper corner of the picture.

it is not an assualt rifle, it is a repeating rifle. theres a major difference. as well as a major time difference.

Yes it's not an assault rifle, but that's the most accurate category they had to put it in. They're not going to add a whole new category for one gun. Arguing or complaining about it won't change anything.

The m60 used to be the only machinegun for a long time. it was its own category for a long time. so its very possible for them to make another category for the 2 Repeating rifles. (regular and scoped)

There's no classification for "in betweens" in the game.

It's also from a time period of weapons that essentially doesn't "exist" any more. As in it's under powered by today's standards.

Back in the day it was a rifle. And not a shotgun.

At the very least it might be considered a sniper rifle, for it's single shot style. Though with the collector and more casual nature of this gun, I wouldn't hold my breath for it to be changed.

as a person who actually owns one of them, id hardly call it a sniper rifle by todays standards. but in-game that is the closest category they have so far to it..

still would be nice though if they released more repeating rifles. they are just so much more fun to shoot then the rifles of today.

-Minié system (wheel-lock, flintlock)
-Lever-Action
-Bolt action
-Semi-Auto
-Automatic
