Does it kill with 1 shot at close range?

I thought so but it always seems to do 90 damage :S

What's the winchester's damage from long/mid/close range?

Id apreciate if some1 answered me with acurrate information

It is one hit at close range.

Winchester-S
5 meters
Hand/Arm: 89, 100, 91, 95, 100, 88.
Foot/Leg: 73, 81, 72.
Back/Chest: 100, 100, 100.
Headshot: 100.
15 meters
Hand/Arm: 81, 78, 85.
Foot/Leg: 60, 54.
Back/Chest: 86, 97, 88.
Headshot: 100.
30 meters
Hand/Arm: 51, 52.
Foot/Leg: 38, 38.
Back/Chest: 55, 48, 50.
Headshot: 100.
Long-Range
The Winchester-S is an odd weapon, because at 100m it doesn’t even hit the enemy, anywhere on the body or head, there is no damage whatsoever. The following tests show that this gun’s 100 damage mark for headshots is 30 meters.
75 meters Headshot
Headshot: 1, 2, 2.
45 meters Headshot
Headshot: 38.
40 meters Headshot
Headshot: 56.
35 meters Headshot
Headshot: 71.
32 meters Headshot
Headshot: 94.

Yes it is.

I own many weapons just for the hell of owning it.

Thats what successful businessmen do. Buy companies, stocks, cars, women, etc just for the hell of it.

That's the whole point... So when you hs someone across the map with it, you can trick yourself into thinking your very good.

i originally used the winni to hone in on my headshot skilz..awesome to use for this method and once you have it down to a one or two shot MAX then switch to your fav rifle and the headshots come naturally..also i used nothing but pistols for a full month until i was deadly accurate..then switched back to rifles and now i can headshot just about any distance..ntm get called a hack or 1hitter and im constantly getting kicked..thats a downfall..but try those two methods if you have the patience..happy gaming!
