Can there be a setting not to auto-pick weapons?

On one of my accounts I prefer to just use the knife, but when I'm roaming the battlefield I automatically pick up weapons which deters my ability to strictly stab. Also if I just happen to drop a weapon on a regular account, it may be for the purpose of speed to escape.

Could this be implemented?

Having a weapon on your person but not equipped does not affect speed. If you're carrying a weapon you won't automatically pick up another one.

I wouldn't mind being able to turn off Auto picking up of weapons. Nothing like shooting at someone to suddenly pick up a grenade off the ground or something and you take it out in the middle of a gunfight when it's useless.

two different probs auto pick up is perfect . i use it constantly when i run outa bullets in the middle of a fight and there are tons by my feet i drop and pick on up. but the granade this is a problem when i try to kill someone and it picks up a granade and put my main weapon away. they should change it so itacts like your picking up a pistol so it doesnt switch weapons on you.

Or have the ability to turn on-off auto pick up weapon switch. (Picking up a weapon and switches to the newly acquired weapon)

Exactly, this is particularly annoying when you have a weapon like a Deagle or Anaconda out when all of the sudden you pick up something such as say an AWM and switch causing you to be unable to shoot.
