Which is better?
Hi wanna try out a new weap. I had the QBZ and the XM8 in mind since i am a m4 user and wanted to know if their similar. i checked the stats and they seem similar but with more power. Can anyone tell me which is better between the QBZ and the XM8 in your own opinion? thanks. if i like neither then ill just go buy the ak lool

I'd go with the XM8. It just feels better. Scope is only useful in certain situations though.
thanks for the suggestion. and can you tell me if the scope on XM8 still effed up? like do you have to aim to the right a little or else it wont hit? or did they fix it. thanks

I actually hate losing the xm8, when I pick up the qbz I do pretty well with it.
so do you still perfer the XM8 over the qbz? and could you tell me a bit bout the qbz, does it have a spraying pattern, is the power good and how is the recoil? thanks appreciate it -

Nice firepower. Quick ROf. Recoil is meh. It all comes down to what you prefer though. Pick up the XM8 in alaska or the QBZ off of a dead body. Sooner or later, u'll realize which one is better for you. -
I own both, and happen to like both, buuuuuut....
Realistically, while the QBZ is a nice gun, and powerful, and fun, and sounds cool...The XM8 tends to be all around better, at least for me. I'm one of those who trained on the K2, and am very used to using burst-firing shots on the enemy. The gun is very accurate and quite powerful. I actually don't even use the scope that's on the XM8 (except for...fun, I guess you could say, but I just don't find in necessary in the least.) The QBZ can be quite accurate as well, but the gun is known to be quirky. One game its more accurate than a sniper, the next game it couldn't hit a bullet in a straight line if you put a mile-long barrel on the thing.
XM8 is great for short, mid, and long-range. (I like to use it to ping-snipe snipers across the stage on Monaco, and like running BL's right side on Black Widow to fight with that particular long-range hall as well, for example.) The QBZ seems to lack /some/ of the long-range capability.
Again, both of these guns ARE very good. My suggestion is simply to go XM8. But I'd also highly suggest you try getting a hold of these guns for a few more games, and really feel them out, and make sure they fit your shooting style. You don't want to buy the gun and then find you can't stand how it works. -

thanks
this was really helpful. btw how powerful are these guns in long range. does the dmg decrease dramatically, or are they inaccurate? thanks again -

I think there's only a subtle decrease at long-range for both guns. I havn't noticed anything substantial.
I'd have to re-play with QBZ and do some long-range work to really find out, but like I said, I long range a /lot/ with the XM8 and havn't even noticed a difference in power, if there is one. -
this is why I hate the new forum, too much noobs.
I'm not a noob :C (I AM)
But I know ur pro, in all RL weapon ;D
XM8 is a good weapon, it has great accuracy, but Kriss FTW, it is a godly weapon from the heavens of crossfire.

QBZ XM8 battle to the death
QBZ, high recoil, scar L power and relatively light. XM8 low recoil, AUG A1 power range, but with scope.
Well It seems I'm having a little trouble deciding aswell. Like the person who posted above me, I have both as well and I play with both. They have both been over shadowed by the Kriss, but thats beside the point, I don't think anyone can go wrong with either gun, but my preference is most defiantly the XM8, probably becaise of my earlier AUG days I don't know. -
No.Oh, man
PLEASE stop talking which weapon is better.
It depends on the players, if you are a pro, no matter how suck the weapon is, you are still a pro.
Of course, no matter how good the weapon you have, you are a noob, you are a noob.
You won't automatically topfrag with the UZI just because you're 'pro' with the M4.
It doesn't make sense. -
