Crossfire + Vista = ???

Hi anyways, ive played crossfire for quite a time now. But the annoying thing is that it takes a loooong looong time for the game to start. I click the launcher and it launches and everything. But after awhile, i get Error 114 so i start the application again. Is there a way to solve the Error and make crossfire load faster on vista? Thanks for your help
