Very nice read. What I have to say about the "Laggers" / "BR's" is that people try to find excuses on why they cannot do well. They blame their "Lag" as a disadvantage when IMO, it's a huge advantage. The respect for others in this community in not big and it should change. Can it change? Well that is up to us. This one post can't make a difference if nobody chooses to do something about it. We make the difference. We are the community. lol I sound like Obama

Good thread and I very much agree to it.
Believe me, this forums has got a ton of cool people, much better then some other game forums I have played, although we still got some not so usefull posts and such, I think we are growing in a good way.
Shame that in-game it's not like this, I still try to make things clean and nice saying "ns", "your good", or "I suck xD" when I fail, and try to kick the hackers on my team even if the vote gets denied.
Some people are trying, I came back few weeks ago, and about 6 months ago (when I took a break) the forums were a mess. -
So ture. They can't win. The forums are so messed. You can't do anything here without getting trolled and your treads beings buried by rude senseless comments. 90% of the people come on here just to troll it seems. I love when you see someone post in a tread "way to troll" and nothing else there for trolling them self about a troll lol. And I love how the forum is full of mods that just abuse there power.
Well, i don't think the mods abuse their powers, i'm sure if they did they would be punished, since as a CM (fallenangel) or GM (Saidin, HPX, others) can see the total log of the forums, thus judging if the actions of the mods were good or not.

Community starts here and the mods rarely do anything to make it better and theres very few that try to make it better and the fact that they take to long to do anything just makes me wonder if its all just for making money then once it stops making a certain amount they will sc**** the game.

Disagree. People see the MOD's as somewhat of a negative influence on us when really they are the ones who enforce "Common Sense" or "Common Courtesy". The sad part about it is that is that sort of respect should be made automatically, not because a MOD has to tell you how to behave. If people grow up and realize that if they can follow the rules of life, which is hard since this is online, then people can realize sometimes how much of idiots they make themselves look these forums. The rules are simple. People make them complicated by not following them. -

Take a better look around, many threads are cleaned, closed and/or removed.
Could you retype the rest of your post with a bit of clarity and punctuation? I just can't figure out who the subject is of anything after 'to make it better and...'
If the subject is "mods" in the entire post:
- Very few: duh, there are only a few mods.
- Taking too long: I see a lot of things closed removed rather fast. Sure, something can stay around for a bit longer because they don't see it, but it will go away.
- Money: mods don't get money for being a mod.
But I suppose the money part is about the GMs/G4Box.... I doubt there's such a threshold. Losing money on the game is something different ofcourse, but I don't think that will happen soon. But then again, noone of us has exact numbers on their expenses and income. -

I would give an emphasis on the word "slowly."
But better that way. Better slowly, with quality, than fast and crap.
Gradually, those who do not want to help, will withdraw.It's true the forums are much better than they were before but I believe that we can do better.
I have not been here since the beginning.
I am in the forum since March or May this year.
Much has changed in that short time. What is an excellent indicator.
Of course, racism and prejudice do not change overnight. And neither the aggressive jokes. But hope is the last to die.

You do realize that the forumers arnt a proper representation of the community?
All you people who are saying stuff about people complaining and noting some players complaining about this patch or previous patchs should just stop. The forums only represent like 2% of the whole game at most.
Personally, I dont think the community sucks. Much better than many others, and I think deep down inside, everyone is a nice person who just wants to play CF and have a good time with friends or even alone.
All in all, this is ridiculous to claim that the community sucks or is ungrateful. -

I would say that less than <1% are the forumers, to be honest. There are loads of players in Crossfire, and there aren't that many on the forums to be honest. -
I'd lke to say that it's not because there's over half a million chars/accounts that there's so many active players.
Plus in the patch notes and in general patch time people who aren't used to the forums come here, alor of them. And those are counted in the negative feedbacks.
Might be 5% during patch time. In game community is awfull and that's not only 5% but easily 33% if not 66%. -

By community I think they were referring to mostly 'the forum community'. Despite there being another section to the game in terms of a whole community. -

Speak For Your Self. I really do strongly dislike people that act like they can give their two cents about a group of people or about different people. Its all just masked gossip and drama, and you guys should really just drop it. Edit: (something my ex, and probably YOUR ex would do... then again... some of you havn't had relationships....).

Just chill, no1 is acting like an expert here, he/she just gave away his/her opinion and I agree with it.
Although the forum community doesnt represent the game community overall it's still nice that some people care.
Also you cant really say this community is nice in-game, that's like saying 1+1 equals 3, maybe a bit of exageration but that's how it is described being the major part of it, of course there's always exceptions. -

Even when youre thread is very good, some people dont like it.
Its almost imposiblethat a COMUNITY agrees without a doubt to a point. Expept hackers, i think that their we are all in agreement.

I didn't say the community is bad, nor did anyone else. Infact, mostly everyone here agreed that the community is in an OK situation. Better than before and I not even once in my thread said that the community is out right bad. I just pointed out where we can improve. That's it. -

That's how a good to a great online community should be, however on Z8Games forums it's not like that. It's painfully obvious where we pale to meet that expectation line.
Members of the community have very little to no respect for one another and their opinions. It's true, on any threads instead of positive feedback, there's going to be negative feedback, insults and generally disapproving attitudes.
That being said, what will result is a split community where half support, half don't. The scenario isn't a pretty one, but that's how it is. This really needs to change, it only makes the situation worse and remember, this is your community. You don't want to hurt it any more than it is.
Another issue that arises is that posts/replies made by members of the community are sometimes... ridiculous. Without even noticing it, a legit thread can turn into a battle between individuals to see who has a better .gif or motivational posters in attempt to mock or disrespect the original topic. Another thing to discuss would be the fact that a large portion of the community cannot take criticism. Regarding it as "Troll". Which isn't necessarily the case. The community really needs to learn to take comments, feedback and replies in a more positive than negative way, this will result in a more productive community where most, if not everyone will be benefiting.Really? I feel this just describes everyone on the Internet in general. When I think Internet community, I think a heavily divided group of people. Most communities that are on the Internet are never happy and never respect each other.
Every single Internet forum that I know of consists of the trolls, the users, and the Mods. The community here on Z8, is the same as the general communities on the Internet. As long as anonymity remains, all things will stay the same. It's rare for a good or great online community to exist. I mean look at this http://www.feverbee.com/2009/11/10greatexamples.html. I'm generally sure the community here is better than over half the communities on that list.Lack of respect is key to why the community fails. I wen't into a turk clan for a day and well the insults and kicking for no reason kept coming and the fact that no one says nice shot any more which is a problem as instend it is mainly just raging on about you lagging, hacking or being lucky.Yes our community, in game and on the forum sucks. That's a well known fact and pretty much 90% of people behind CrossFire accounts (forumers or just gamers) contribute to that BAD community.
I highly doubt it'll ever change.
As for negative feedback on patches, suggestions... I really don't understand why people can't just keep their random anger for themselves. Nobody needs that and since I don't know lets say over a year whenever a patch comes out we see dozens of spam threads about how the patch fails, how they wanted something else... People are ungratefull *******s.
