Difference between downloads?

Any difference between downloading here: http://crossfire.z8games.com/downloads2.aspx

Im having some problems and trying to reinstall it, the download without being the mirror one took like 10 mins to download while the other is taking about 3 hours.

The http://crossfire.z8games.com/ links you to the downloader. A program that you run, that downloads the game in a peer to peer kind of way. This is often faster but some people have issues with it. On that Downloads2.aspx there are the mirror links. Those are direct downloads for the game installer.

Both will get you the same file in the end.

Some mirrors just give you the download for the cfdownloader and not the installer.

Whilst some mirrors directly give you the installer, you'll know because one file is 350MB or so, the other is 1.5mb.

Thanks for the info.

Also iv heard that some mirrors might give you better ping or FPS then others, is that true?

I chose East Mirror 1 and I live in Portugal.
