Game settings messed up

Hey, i logged on to CF today, to notice several things wrong with my client, The colour went from 32 bit to 16 bit, resolution changes, and the most of all, The SOUND is really messed up, loud footsteps when no1 near by, cant play GM because of this, Is this a error from cf or is it from me? Should i try to reinstall CF? ty
