mountains, visit places, i went three years ago (although not for such a long time 1 week in switzerland, 1 week in italy). i enjoyed going so we're going to go back and stay near the matterhorn for a while and then travel around. although relaxing holidays are nice, i prefer to do something moderately active. -

was in arizona and utah last summer, spent a fair amount of time near deserts, you get used to the heat after a few days. it's worse coming back to a 15 celcius UK after having constant 35+ celcius weather.I disagree.

Trust me, we get 35-45 where I am and I'd love to be in England right now. And we don't EVER get snow here. Since 9years the must I've seen was 1cm and people were all happy about it and were like dam that's alot of snow...

i've been twice, both to fairly similar regions (around Biarritz) but years apart. first time was better than the second....

I love the cold. Living in a country with 6+ months of winter, I guess I'm very used to it.
Summer is just a horrible, horrible contrast that I'd be happier without.
Thank god for vacation though. Can chill at home during 4 weeks of the dreadful summer and come back out in time for fall in August. -

What?! only 4weeks? Students in France get a bit over 2months and I got 3months (as other people who were on the same year as I was and felt like bunking the last week of class)
What if those big holidays where in winter? Would people prefer winter? -

Yeap, filled with people from Morocco and Algeria (even too much i have to say).
I have 2 months of holidays, have some exams coming too. After exams are over WORKING right away, so no summer for me :P -

And yeah, as I often say we aren't in France but in Africa.
