That glove is cutting off blood supply, Thus making it darker. That or he's left handed and his hand swelled up.

No he doesn't run faster.

It would be ridiculous to think that he would be faster when his body size is generally larger than the rest of the characters anyways.

But that aside, all characters have the same walking and running speed.

However, the speed can vary depending on the weight of your weapon. In other words, you're faster when running with knife than with the m60.
