M16A2 is a rifle so obviously it will count.
It can't be your only rifle since M16 can't be discarded/sold. Maybe you meant it's the only rifle fully repaired or something like that.

I don't understood why you're asking if kills with a rifle counts as rifle kills though

U need 2 do 100kills with any rifle in any map, the map can be td/sd/elimination/ffa/...
