Based on your screenshot, they had won 4 out of the 7 rounds before you switched sides. Then they won another 4 rounds after the switch. That means they won 8 out of 14 rounds. The most you could have won was 6 rounds. 8 > 6. Impossible for you to win so the system stopped the game.
