HELP!! I wanna play crossfire agian soon!

(I'm running vista) Okay this is starting to **** me off every time i try to download crossfire. my windows explorer just crashes and i cant do anything. whatever folder the actual setup file is in always crashes too. I had this problem the first time i downloaded the game but i don't know how i finally got it download correctly. Also the file works fine in safe mode but when i try to run it after i downloaded it in safe mode (with networking of course) i get some error saying it wasn't installed correctly and yes i ran it as admin it automatically pops up so i always run it as admin. any idea would be much appreciated. anybody got the same problem or am i alone here!?!?!?! Help would be nice. Thanks.
