Pay for Crossfire?

It might seem like a bad idea, and no one would really pay for it but honestly, if it means "less haackers," I wouldn't mind chipping in a $10 fee to make an account.

Haackers wouldn't want to pay $10 to get banned so it would lessen the percentage of haackers in games by at least 90%.

$10 is a very low price, but if it does lower the amount of haackers, how many of you would pay for Crossfire?

only if I can still use my UGC cards to pay for it, then I would. (I don't have a credit/debit card) :(

i definitely would, but coming from someone who has spent 400+ that doesn't mean much.

But I doubt this will ever happen. This game isn't good enough for a paid game.

For example, take Battlefield 2. It only costs 10 dollars brand new at Fry's...Less on ebay.

I've never run into a hacker on that game, the maps are awesome, and there are....vehicles.

However, I guess I like CF better cuz after a while BF's mode (capture a flag/hold a zone) gets really old, and I guess I played it a lot when I was younger and I moved on, just like I will probably move on from CF one day.

But paying for CF, again, not gonna happen.

It isn't much considering for me, it's better than CSS and CSS costs $20. Since Crossfire wouldn't have to be wasting more money on hack protection, they could be using it to update Crossfire with more modes + weapons and more equipment.
  • It is a good idea to require to deposit a least 10kZP per account. Hackers wouldn't deposit ZP for an account that will be banned. Another good idea is to let people try crossfire without paying for it by letting them play in the Rookie Server, but if they want to join other servers they would have to deposit a least once 10kZP
  • any1 in the right mind of use that10 bucks to buy cs or candy then this cra.p

That's true. If you think about it, even if a bunch of players did leave it wouldn't make a difference for CF.

    Why?

Free players bring NO INCOME. So even if 90% of the community left...
    A. That 90% wouldn't change anything because they are the free players who DO NOT contribute ANY income to CF.
    B. CF wouldn't have to spend so much money on maintaining servers for all the free players.

And if you think about it, if you're not a free player, you've spent at LEAST 8.99 on ZP so that's close to 10 dollars and most people would be willing to pay 10.

So while this is a great idea and nothing would really change (moneywise -remember, it's not like Z8 loses income because all the people who would quit haven't chipped in at all, so they just have rode free) the game would become intensely less fun because it would only be pros playing.

I mean, think about it. 80% of paid players are better than the normal free player, I like PWNING noobs with m16 XD.

So the game would get harder, but I guess I wouldn't mind that much..

But as I said this isn't going to happen.

Agreed, and after you deposit the 10k ZP, you get to buy crates with it, but it's useless to say it here unless ZP actually agrees with us -.-

Although pub-ing is very fun, I've always liked playing with pro's more because of the competitive-ness compared to PuB's.
  • i would pay 10 dollars a month if it meant a significant cheater reduction.

    I really like this idea.

But one loophole: I could make an infinite number of accounts to play on the rookie server.

What they COULD do is make CF ITSELF a limited - time free trial program (5 days) where unregistered users could only play on rookie...

Well, the plan was to pay a one-time fee of $10. $10 a month would be a little too much for some people.
  • There could also be servers accesible only from players who deposited at least once 10kZP
  • Just oone thing tho, remember, there are people who spend zp and still hack....

Take a colonel by the name of Ed.....well, you know the rest.
  • If the reg is improved and we get an n/a server with that then id pay. If the game is going to stay the same but we just pay 10 bucks to access it then Ill just uninstall. This game isnt worth a dime to me which is why i never bought zp.

I know, but most hackers are people who never deposited ZP

if you cant make 10 dollars in 30 days then you have a lot more then games to think/worry about. Much less waste time playing them.

There will still be haackers out there but the reports would be taken cared of a lot faster than now since 90% of the noob community will be gone so 90% less reports to be taken care of.

I already have paid for ZP, but if there was a monthly fee I would stop playing crossfire, read my post in the previous and 1st page

This is a 13+ game. However I know there a few kids younger than that.

But saying that you do have a point.
  • I like the idea and it is good for the community, but. This is a F2P game after alll.
  • Better than this idea:

    suggested before in this thread.

Instead of pay for game, PAID SERVER!!!!!

That's the most brilliant thing I have heard the whole day. That is an epic idea...

Paid server = free people can still play, but paid users get to use premium server that has less hackers!!!

In addition there could be perks like extra weapons. It would be like membership in Runscape - free players still play, but paid players get more.

    holy crap that is genius.....
get rid of hackers on paid server while allowing the free servers to continue. I am sorry I didn't get the name of the guy who suggested this, but he is a genius.

    +10320102102 for this idea.

I could, but a lot of people can't including people under the age of 16 without a job earning off allowances.

everything is is only an opinion. i respect yours.

but i still think that 10 dollars every 30 days its ridiculously cheap to ensure a sharp reduction in cheaters.

Id rather have a smaller, more loyal/dedicated playerbase then a huge, immature/immoral playerbase.
  • that would lead to all other servers getting infested with hacks.

i still prefer the "get rid of all hackers" solution

It is a F2P game and there will be free servers but people who pay will have some servers that are haacker free.

allowance/ jobs aren't the only way to make/save money. and like i said, if you cant come up with 10 dollars in 30 days(720 hours). then you needs to change your style of life.
i was able to save 40 a month when i was under age 10. (no allowance)

If you cant pay for a service then there really isn't a reason you should get it free.

edit: and before someone says something about credit cards:

prepaid visa/mastercard etc, and UGC cards.
