Lag spikes (not my connection)

I frequently get lag spikes (I'd say at least once a minute) and it's starting to really get on my nerves. I've tested my connection by pinging google in the background (remains at a stable ~40ms -- which tells me that my connection is working fine.

My brother and girlfriend also play on the same connection on a different computers and do not receive these spikes (which again, says my internet is not slow and works fine). This is also the only online game I have these lag spikes with -- Combat Arms is 100% lag free for me.


A typical spike would be from my usual ~19 ping to 1000ish. I've tried re-installing the game, though it did nothing to help. Any other ideas what may cause this?
