I`ll tell you exactly how much money Nexon has, on the korean stock exchange Nexon reported earnings of $10.9 billion for 2010, with only 900 employees thats a lot of profit.

i lol'd because Nexon isnt only Nexon, net. it is this and controls over two dozen games on several different continents. Also, theres probably over 900 employees. definitely.

No, it's G4 that ends up with the poker company, that much I remember. Bobby and I were having a laugh at the fact that a gambling company would think that they had enough in common with game hosting to delve into it (Which I guess they didn't since they get someone else to do it for them.)
Probably some tax exempt rules or something.
    Business structure is tricky.
As most consultants are workers - not just a guy in an office, its just a title.

Whats the company called? I was under the impression that G4Box was the top of that corporate structure.
  • Black Market = Poker Company?

    Do I see a connection?

How much income do you think a company has with 2 games? Unlike Nexon, Ijji, Gamersfirst ect ect. They have tons of games in which each gives a reasonably large amount of income. 2 games doesnt offer alot. said by giggle

now why would people play this game if they clearly dont care?
    rofl

i personally play it because of this bottomless pit i call a heart that feeds off the QQ tears of BRs, and this is the best way i know to feed it.

plus CF is sort of fun & a time killer

No clue atm, I'd have to boot up my other computer and check xfire logs, and I'm scrambling to do schoolwork atm

I do know there's a site dedicated to trying to prove its connection with the mafia however.

IIRC G4box is working for a specific division of said poker company, you'd have to find the division name before finding the poker company.

    Right.
G4 have owners to answer to - spending all the profits on staff giving the owners 0 dividend would make them very unhappy pandas.
There obviously has to be a balance between income and expenses.

Patching time has nothing to do with underemployment.

All guesses made by anyone on this forum regarding the financial situation of the company are guesses, nothing more.

Well I don't suppose you could pick up the phone and find out " whats going on" ? someone has to listen .
  • did Giggletron said they don't lie to people?
    that's horsesh1t..
tons of high rank golden gun hackers seen in HM n MM modes, never seen them banned. .
besides.. just like everyone said, this is F2P , even u buy ZP, it's still considered as F2P, u can choose not to buy, so that's the way it is. u buy ZP, VIP hackers they buys them too..

Buying ZP doesnt make you immune to being banned.

  • I just returned to CF after about a years absence (playing other games). I've noticed that the number of players has drastically reduced and the chance of joining a room with a hacker in it has more than doubled. It is not an exaggeration when I say that there is roughly a 50% chance that my game will contain a hacker, and 50% that I will actually enjoy my win/loss.

I can't head to Delta server either -- since hardly anyone is ever there any more.

I think Z8 has the same problem that a lot of other online transaction-based games have. Releasing new paid content (crates/guns/etc.) results in immediate, tangible income. Whereas dumping staff onto hack reports / bug fixes / dispute resolution yields no immediate income -- and therefore has no perceivable immediate benefit. However, this is vital to the game's long term health.

Most of these game companies figure, if people are buying their e-goods, they can keep doing the same thing to keep making money. This often fails to account for a level of "player tolerance" and left unchecked, hacking situations will only escalate causing paying players to get fed up and leave.

As the player base falls -- companies begin to realize that they need to deal with the hacker issues to maintain their player base... but often it is too late since it is difficult to regain a customer once lost. To be honest, Crossfire is dangerously near (if not past) the point where the game will begin to kill itself.

These types of things are common knowledge in any game design / project management course at college. It's surprising to see CF falling victim to it after it was doing so well when I began playing. The hacker situation really has gotten out of control -- the player count speaks volumes.
  • rubbish...
I love that word and it pretty much says it all. Stop bching and play the game. Simple as that.

They are doing their best to solve the issue. You making unnesscary complaints isn't going to help the process. Like [Nub]Giggletron has said, they've explained themselves multiple times regarding the issue and everybody still complains about the same thing over and over. It's quite annoying and people need to grow up. The people here are doing your jobs so please do yours by letting them do what they do.
    <3 Giggle :)
  • Maybe if they had not unnpatched cheats for more than one month every month people would not complain.
  • I believe They will find the answer to finish the ha.cks.

I still play Cross Fire because it's one of the best F2P FPS games out there. That, and yes the hacks are running a little out of control lately, but did you notice the month or so before that? Not many hackers could be found.

Anyways, yes Z8 games only hosts 2 games, where-as other game networks host many, many games. However, hosting more games puts even more stress of DEVs to produce more, for all those games. If Z8 Games had to worry about 4-6 different games, do you think Cross Fire would have been developed to the point it is now? Probably not, we're still be a ways back in the weapons and such. Because the DEVs would have to focus on a bunch of different games, making updates and patches for all of them.

Z8Games doesn't develop anything, Metin 2 is developed by Ymir Entertainment, and Cross Fire is developed by Neowiz. CrossFire is already highly developed. All they do is pretty much send the guns already created in the other versions of CF into this version. Look at this http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E7%A9%BF%E8%B6%8A%E7%81%AB%E7%BA%BF, scroll down to the weapons.

But the Z8 DEVs decide what weapons to place in this version, what maps, and what modes. Having multiple games puts more stress on DEVs, which means less gets done. Simple logic.
  • Z8 Devs? Never heard of them. Even if there are, it's not very hard to choose which guns get put in, what maps etc. Pretty sure all Z8 can do is suggest what to do and what we want, but the developers in Korea don't really have to listen. I doubt there's much stress in hosting games.
