Because its the only game I've engaged myself in properly (sorry Assassins Creed series, you were just a fling and on 360) and I've been playing it for years.

Same here. And 5-8hours wasn't exactly true (especially when I was at my dad's, the 5-8hours became 12+. CrossFire only works on Windows. Every game (or almost every game) can be ran under windows.1,2,3 you'll find this in any free to play game

Graphics were fine when the first tombraiders came out (I know the game wasn't out back then).

I'm sick of this game it used to be good but now all we get is hackers which don't even try to hide the fact they're hacking because they know they won't get kicked anyway, m12s and sl users, ***** ****s running around on a battlefield (and recently a fag).
Patches are getting lamer with every passing month. I mean come on since how long haven't we got a GP weapon? Don't mention the dual despies because that was the only one we got in ages and before it came it we had waited 2-3months for a new gp weapon.
Game bugs are called problems (here) when those issues weren't there before "X" patch meaning it's clearly z8's fault. Here I'm talking about that lame "host error" that occurs whenever I try to join a game (sometimes happens several times in a row, my max was 8).
We have less resolutions than any other fps game (f2p or not, released or only beta). Oh and they even dared to make a poll the 11-11-2009. It's still a sticky btw.
Graphics are indeed bad but that's the reason why I even tried this game. Because I had a netbook and couldn't play anything else. I liked them and still love the fancy items and reskins we have but come on, there's way too much reskins of m4a1.
Cupons weapons never get updated. Axe is the only perm melee weapon you can have. Why couldn't we buy a perm katana, shovel or kukri? There's no reason. And don't tell me there's not enough slots to add all of them because there's nothing stopping them from adding slots to the BM exchange section.
M4A1 crystal was meant to be like limited crates and they'd told us it's place was temporary and talked about commercial purposes or whatever (the same happened with the golden RPK which now has replaced the camo version for some reason).
They refuse to add barret (even though I don't give a fck since the bolting action is slow as hell and even quickswitching fails with it) because they don't want to add OP weapons to this game. Explain me why the fck we have the m12s and sl (recently SL-RD and that was added after they stated they wouldn't add barret because they didn't want anymore OP weapons in the game).
AZERTY keyboards still aren't fully compatible with CrossFire. We can't take screenshots using the PrintScreen button neither can we use most of the options you can't change (insert thing...).
And guess what? We have to reconfig our keys in the Option pannel whenever we connect to a Server (including when we start up CrossFire). And that's really annoying.
Saidin announced we would see some cool stuff comming in the next 3 MONTHS!! What'll that be? a dual m12s gold? MM/HM shiz? Even the IA zombies mod wouldn't be enough to catch up all the failing.
If by the time BF3 comes out we haven't seen any changes in how people handle this game I'll definitively quit whatever the 700-800€ I've spent on this game.
I could expend on the cons of this game but I really don't have anymore time to lose with it.

if you are expecting a graphic of COD, HALO, or GOW... then go play xbox... duh? and CF's graphic is not that bad compare to the other FPS games. such as combat arms and soldier front.

I play because this is a free FPS game that has probably the least amount of hackers than most FPS games out there. also, i like the nice people here

It's not as bad as warrock but it's still REALLY BAD (hacker-wise). -

The main problem remains and will always remain the community.
Recently I cba to play CrossFire. Today I thought, yeah why not go play a Crystal M4-C GM. The mission was Hakenkreuz so I easily found a GM game to join. I was having fun on the first round, was happy to be playing and all (which frankly suprised me). The second round was fun too because that map is big enough to stay far from noobish sprayers.
The third round I went 8/0 and got kicked for hacking. Why's that? I mean come on noobs! If you don't even know what skills are why the **** are you playing this game. And why would you play GM if you don't even know what the BREATH means! They all pressed F11. You may wonder how I know, I'll tell you: they all went "F11 f11 hecker".
I just wanted to chill on UK4 without any noobish hackers to ruin my day (or atleast that game and the ones which would've followed if I hadn't been invited to close the game by these noobs which stand for 99% of the community).
The problem isn't people's age. You can be way more mature than a 40year old person even though you're only 12 (it's rare though but immature "adults" aren't). Making this game 14 or 16+ wouldn't even change anything because people wouldn't give a **** of the age limit. I'm 16 and I've been playing 18+ games since I'm 12 so I know what I'm talking about. And even if people respected the age limit that wouldn't change how bad this community is because it's not ONLY the kids who ruin the game by being dicks many "adults" are worse.
You can't blame the foreigners either because some Englishmen and Americans are the same. Even though the majority of those who are a nuisance are foreigners some of them are kewl and mature (I don't even live in England atm so I wouldn't be able to play either if they ever came to ban foreigners which they won't ever do as they've stated many times).
What shall I understand from this? Skills aren't allowed in CrossFire? Belive it or not that's how the game is and that's what the community makes it be.
Kids (by kids I mean immature people, even "adults") can't stand getting pwned after having spent money to have breath down, footsteps noise down, C4 defuse speed up, spop/star, a shovel (or an axe, katana or kukri). They think that if they pay for stuff which others can't afford or just don't want to waste irl money on they'll be pro and nobody will be able to kill them. That's so ****ing ridiculous (oh and you can't say ridiculous since that ridiculous censor patch because culo is a FOREIGN word which means arse)!
Everybody is bad at one point but I don't know what happened in CrossFire but nowadays even "high" ranked people suck. How can that be possible after having spent time ranking up to Staff, Master sarg, 2nd LT and even above? I mean with time you logically get good and start to know maps well. You know where to spray a bullet, where to prefire, where to search for campers... That's called getting used to the game. And that's what happens to normal people. You can't tell me everybody has health issues, some do but not many have some which can prevent them from having reflexes and all.
The good players quit CrossFire because of all these noobs. What should happen is people grow to be good at CrossFire and somehow take the place of those who've left but that's not how it works here, the noobs stay noobs forever.
Oh and now I understand why farmers are a nuisance. I couldn't understand why it was so important for people to get them out of CrossFire, to prevent them from farming. But now I understand. If you haven't yet came to my conclusion let me tell you what's the problem with them (not all of them because some farmers are actually good which is normal because farming is a lame thing to do I suppose and some just **** around and try to jump and headshot... if that's how they build their skills then fine but others just do some "monster bashing" all day long without any real reason):
UK4 and Delata servers are meant to be for the higher ranked players (which is the case) but farmers farm to lets say reach "X" rank to be able to purshase the weapon of their choice or just to have a picture next to their name which, according to them, looks kewl and makes them look pro. Then what happens is they come to UK4 or Delta servers because they can and think there's less hackers over there (which is the case but there's not as less as people could believe because some people farm to be able to hack and say hey dude, check my rank out, that ain't hacks you're seeing but skills). But they're bad and can't tell the difference between a hacker and a skilled player who plays since almost 2 ****ING YEARS!! And that's why the good players get randomly kicked by them.
Oh and something else, I've noticed some people tend to always press f11 without even taking the time to actually read the person who's being kicked's name or to wonder wether he is skilled or a noobish hacker.
And hackers seem to get kicked less often then I do which totally drives me mad since I get kicked for being a hacker when I'm legit and they don't get kicked at all (rarely do).
Once again I could expand on this **** but I'm fed up... -

It's just addictive, and everybody needs to kill people to feel good about themselves. By kill people, I mean in the game so don't get any ideas :P
It also gives you a chance to practise your skills and update your attributes to the max, so you'll have CrossFire expertise. :-)
