Crossfire won't load?

I just got a laptop from my school for next year. I've been playing Crossfire happily on my other family laptop. When I got this, I downloaded and installed Crossfire. I started up the game, but the computer won't load the room or join a match. Any ideas?

Only difference is that I have 4gb RAM, 2.5 gHz, Bluetooth, and Fingerprint Scanner
