Yo guys, comcast just called with something about copyright infringment of something called "true blood" I never downloaded anything called that. But I have a lot of other cracked stuff... Such as my OS, sony vegas, fraps... Etc.
Should I be worried?
I would move everything to a disk, reformat your PC. And hide the disk in a hole outside.
Then put everything back on it later.

My mate got something like this but through the mail. Law here is you get a awarning then you must pay £500 per item that you stole or face jail.
They asked for £500 but it turned out to be a scam.
Do you know if the number is a legit Comcast number?
You ISP can easily be found out by scammers and used as a fear tactic.
If you are 100% noone using your network downloaded such a thing then you shouldnt be worried. -

My uncle answered the phone. He came in my room and asked meh if I know anything about true blood because comcast had called. I didn't want to ask him about the number or anything or he might think I downloaded it or some shet.

I wouldnt worry. Honestly. Sounds like a scam to me. This would have been sent to you in writing for proof of contact.
Think no more of it.
Besides they cant prove you stole it at all.
I use a cracked version of MW2 because I prefer their dedicated sever to the IWNET ones. I legitly own the actual game so noone can sue me since I own the legal rights to play the game in my own home.
I may be using a somewhat illegal means to play the game, but I still own it legitimatly. Because you downloaded a torrent, it doesnt mean you dont own what you downloaded. Torrents ect. arent illegal. -
