no weapon sounds in crossfire?

For some reason when i got on crossfire there was no sound coming from the guns or knives. All other sounds such as characters talking and what not are fine. Its just the weapons that don't make sounds. I had already been playing earlier today but then when i get back on like a minute later there is no gun sounds. Please help!

I've had this before and to fix perminantly if restarting game doesn't work try updating your sound-card drivers
you can do it on the manufacturers website or via windows update(chosse the custom(xp) or the little optional link(vista and 7) then select literally all of the available updates then the sound should sound ok agine)
p.s. sorry for bad spelling even my spell checker can't work out some of it
