Gm & Developers
In order to further understand the basic job of a developer i had to do some searching... google was there.
Correct me if I'm wrong but a developer's work usually goes like this
- Gather Material for the next patch (guns/maps/items) now remember this are just ideas and some pictures i suppose (but they have it easy since they have allied versions of the game that makes it easy for them... to a certain degree that is.
- Start the creation/modeling of the weapon/map/item... you name it. and so i found a neat little video to show you guys Weapon Modeling [the video is only part 1 of 15 for a single glock... i can only imagine. after the gun/map/item is complete they have to render it and animate it...
- The animation process is another arduous work process which takes several hours and patience Animation that's only a minor example.
... after that comes the coding, importing, testing, glitches... it all seems like an eternity, and the idea of explaining it to you guys just gives me a headache... so i'll leave it at that.
Now i believe the dev. team has around 5 - 10 members, if not more... Audio Coder / AI Coder / Uscript Coder / Environment Modeler / Weapon Animator, Modeler, Artist, Texture.
It's not so simply now is it?
To be honest i don't imagine myself sitting in front of the computer doing the same thing for more than 8 hours a day...
... and no I'm not sucking up to any1... i hate and despise each and every1 of you equally don't think your special!!
Wake up

Sorry, but what was the point of this?
Was it to make us feel sympathy towards the designers who actually make the guns? Because the designers or w/e don't decide if it is put in the game or not, it's the people up top in the company.
sympathy... lol, no its meant to give you a rough idea of what a developer does, not to feel sorry, sympathy or any other caring emotion you might feel...
... feel free to continue your *****ing and whining for all i care. -

Where was I whinning exactly?
I was just merely asking why a developers stand point is relevant. -

well ok perhaps not you but a certain amount of the members of the community feel the need to express the amount of hakers/high pingers/brs we have, without even realizing the steps needed to achieve a Free FPS Game, and they state the Gms, devs aren't doing anything about it.RawrJafrikan wrote: »Thats why they get payed the way they get payed.
Now seriously, why did you REALLY post this?
To give the community an idea of what it takes to develop a game from nothingDagnastier wrote: »Half-interesting because you half-explained everything.
But really, what's the purpose?
I only half explained it because i didn't want my post to be something no1 would read... the purpose's still the same.fallout wrote:you do realize they just transfer our patches from the other version.
that's not entirely true. -
You could have simply said "Developers and GM's are not responsible for anti-cheat updates" instead of confusing the hell out of everyone. :Pwell ok perhaps not you but a certain amount of the members of the community feel the need to express the amount of hakers/high pingers/brs we have, without even realizing the steps needed to achieve a Free FPS Game, and they state the Gms, devs aren't doing anything about it. -
