A thing to help Australian People
Well, since LIKE 65-70% of players on West Coast are Australians(Just a guess), why don't G4 Box just move the server closer to Australia but move it so that it is still in the West Coast of America. I'm sure they'll be happy enough with 160-170 ping.
Please don't troll, I just wanna help the Australians out.
Note:This is a random idea and I thought of it from the top of my head and I don't know whether the West Coast Server is closest it can be. I'm sure Australians won't mind a little server maintenance for like 10 hours or something.

dude. im aussie. And my lowest ping i can get in west server is 165. Its not the best. But a better suggestion would be just get a server closer to australia. y not? crossfire (usa version) is the only english version out. and many assies play this game. i think aussie deserve a server in aus. but so many trolls and the gm and mods say they need a licence. or the trolls will say. go play cf philipines. Philipines insnt english!

I'm sure -10 to 30 ping is good enough for them.(Considering G4 Box don't have a license to make an Australian Server.because they do...
and moving the servers sounds kinda pointless, it would help by about 10-30 ping if that.
Bottom line: It's better than doing nothing. -
I guess moving the server does have quite a few flaws.you also gotta remember that there aren't nearly as many server hosts near the coast as there are in the cities. plus they'd be further away from the offices making it harder to sort out it if something goes wrong. -
What happened to the old west coast server? I used to have 170 ping. then after leaving the game for around a year i now have 270-290. There must be some way for aussies to get at least a slightly better ping. At least i didn't do too bad with 170 ping.

I Agree, i live in New Zealand as well as many WC players, and i think if they moved it closer that'd be awesome, the extra -10 - 30 ping would actually help a lot.
Or the Hawaii server doesn't sound bad, anything under 150 for us please. -

And besides, even if YOU have low ping, it doesn't mean all the others do too.
Many players living in Oceania are frustrated with their above normal ping. You may not be, but THEY are.(Well, a lot of them at least.) -
Yes, but only if G4 Box are going to create a new West Coast Server. (The first one is for American West Coasters and the new one is for players living in Oceania.)As long you won't stop spending money on this game you won't see any server in Australia or closer to your country/continent. -
LOL the day z8 moves the main servers to australia is the day hell freezes over. and 100-170 ping would drive many people who are use to 5-65 ping crazy, they definitly would mind it. your best hopes are that they someday make a server in australia, but they would do south america befor they tried australia i bet, so many more players from south america, but i hear there laws screw things up a bit. Once z8 changes license and whatever else they have to do, which i bet is a slow process, then you got a shred of hope ^^ but ya, i agree with guy up top and say your best hopes are a Hawaii server

If us Australians have been playing this game since 2009 and have stuck it out with 150+ ping. Then what's the point. Just hopefully that one day Z8/Devs will work out, getting a licence for a server near the Oceania will actually make profits.
I remember back in 2009, everyone would complain here on the forums about the br's and their ping, people suggested to make a server near them. Many people disagreed continually stating that this game is strictly NA only. But look now..whata ya know there's a server now just for the br's..hmmm I wonder why :rolleyes:..nothing to do with making money from br's.;)
I guess time will come and we'll get a better server for Australians/NewZealand/Oceania..until then we'll just have to stick it out like we always have. -

they changed it because many people are dumbasses and don't know where miami, one of the most popular cities in the us is located. the same reason why its called the west coast server and not los angeles server.Why was it changed to South server..as it was called Miami Server?
You might wana look that up..Brasil is fairly close too Miami.
miami doesn't look far from brazil on the map, but if you look at the distance it is far and they would get at least 120 ping if they live in the northern part of brazil, but when most of them live in rio and sao paulo that makes it even worse for them so it doesn't make much difference -

Its better than 300, but the smart BRs go to Westcoast because they have recognized that the trans internet connection is better with the server in LA.
They havent banned these foreigners for the reason they made the game in the first place: MONEY. The game was initially called CF EN. They intended this game to be catered to NA and UK players.
I doubt that. Maybe a server in Hawaii, but definitly not a server dedicated to you guys. No offense but the Aussy game population is significantly and definitly smaller than the BRs.
Personally I feel like somone should just make a CF Austrailia/NewZealand. People would be making BANK if they did so. -

most of the population doesn't live in rio, but the 2 most populous cities are rio and sao paulo so its pretty obvious where the majority of the players come from. as an example, players from canada most likely live around toronto or montreal, the 2 biggest cities in canada. in the us, most of the players live on east or west coast, the most populated areas.
