This is in the wrong section. Should go in the "Off-topic Section" but who cares. At least I can see another soccer (futball) fan out here. This is going to be a really tough game to decide on. Barcelona has the best player, Messi. But Manchester United has a solid team with Rooney. As much as I like both teams, and would like to see both win, I believe Barcelona will win. Not by a lot though. Maybe by 1 goal. I predict the final score to be 2-1 for Barcelona. But then again, what ever happens happens. It sure is going to be a good game. I'm looking forward to it.

MANCHESTER UNITED!!!!! Because Ronnie will kick Messi's *ss!!!!!!!!
  • Manchester United .. I just Do not like Barcalona :D
  • MU because it's in London (spanish can't handle British weather) and they are simply better

But it will depend on the reffery, cuz English soccer is more violent then others
  • Barcalona for me they play a better style of football

They just pass the ball around for 10 minutes, then messi or Iniesta get it, and go score... kinda boring after a few games
  • I'm a HUGE fan of both, but I think Man Utd will take it, just because they're doing a lot better lately and will also be hyped up for the League Cup win.
  • Ye're all stupid and please, stop talking about things ye don't know.
I'm predicting a 2-0 or 2-1 United win since well, I've been a hardcore Man Utd fan since I was born.

The reasons i'm going with Man Utd? I think since Rome 08, we've gotten a lot more experienced and on that night - everyone played horrible. Vidic had one of his worst matches in a red jersey, and we were missing our key player that season - Fletcher. Now, I think Vidic and Ferdinand are the best pairing I've ever seen, a long with Van Der Sar being one of the best keepers ever behind them. I'm hoping Smalling starts in right back, since I think his extra-physical presense will be extremely useful for set-pieces and Fabio and Rafael have a tendency to go walk-about. For left back, Evra will probably start but I'd prefer Fabio since Evra is very slow to track back.

In right wing I think Valencia will get the nod. We need hard working wingers in Park and Valencia to track the runs of Abidal and Dani Alves in particular. Also, they need to keep narrow and cluster the midfield, and not allow Sergio and Xavi to receieve the ball deep and give them time and space. Onto the main part of our team, our centre mids: Carrick and Scholes. We all know Messi is going to roam, but he especially loves the ''#10'' position between midfield and centre-halves. He CANNOT be allowed space in this area, and if he does get the ball its so important to either 1) not allow him to turn and get running at you 2) or else send him wide onto his right foot or 3) push him back. For this, I think Ferdinand and Vidic need to play a high-line.

Rooney and Chico will do as they always do. Wazza will drop deep and needs to put pressure on Sergio Busquets. What I really want to see, is try to get Chico's movement against Puyol. He is their weakpoint since he isnt fast anymore and is quite clumsy. Chico's acceleration, ability to beat the offside trap, his movement and his clinical finishing is vital.

For Barca, we all know what they're going to do. Pass, pass, dribble, pass again and again. Their possession statistics are amazing, and when they do loose the ball every single one of them tries to get it back with complete commitment. If you do manage to get the ball away from the top 6 players pressing, you have a great counter-attack opportunity since Alves is bad at defending and tracking-back. Where can they exploit United? Left back for sure, Evra can be extremely sloppy at times.

I think the key is to not allow Barca to score. Once they get one, they keep the momentum up and if you starting pushing up, they'll hit you on the counter attack again and again. With Messi, I don't think he performs that well against teams that defend properly in big games [e.g. WC South Africa 2010]. I'm more worried about Iniesta's runs and I think that David Villa and Pedro are two amazing, under-rated players.

This final is going to be a classic. The two best teams for the past 10 years going head to head again in Wembley!! Both on 3 EU cups, who's going to join Ajax and Bayern on 4 :D

P.S. to liverpool ******s, we're coming for your European Record too.
  • I hope Manchester will win because I like British football.

Have you seen Real - Barca? They were sitting more on the ground and fighting with the referee than playing football. When one of the players was touched he was crying on the ground more than Perez did after today's crash in the F1 qualification for the Monaco GP.
  • Mmmmm, the impact for Perez was immense. Rosbeg was really look in Practise this morning, he was nearly going to hit straight on, but missed the barrier by an inch. That was looking like a double-broken foot for Nico.
Looking good for Sebastien though, I mean.....Hamilton's like 40 points or something going into today - and he qualified in 7th, and Button/Webber/Alonso are really far away from Vettel in the championship and raw pace. If nobody can beat Vettel in Monte Carlo, he's not going to loose anywhere considering his best tracks are yet to come [Nuremburg Ring, Silverstone, Korea , Interlagos etc]
  • truth?

Being English I should back Man U. Being a Liverpool fanatic I hate Man U. Paradox is here. I expect man U to win but if they fail I will be laughing:):):)
  • barcavsmanutd.jpg

I think the real champion going to raise the UCL cup.
  • if man u use herndez then they will lose BERBATOV is more of a player that can do something with little and can cope with the slow paced game
  • Barca's game is old news and ManU will crash them.
Ferguson is just too experienced for Guardiola.
  • lol, i guess those M.U fans are crying now! Tks that i chose Barca. Barca is just too good.
  • Got completely outplayed, couldnt have asked for more commitment for the boys. Barca's front 5 are just............. amazing. Best team of all time for sure, better than Man Utd 99, United 08, Busby Babes, Galactico's, Ajax 'Total Football', Barca during the Cruyff era, Barca during the Maradona era, and Barca are also better than Liverpool 70's team. No word can describe them.

If United are too become on par, we need to spend big. We would basically need Ronny back, drop Rooney into midfield since we need someone with his class in there. We also need another world class winger and another top striker. We have the best defence in the world no question, but sometimes there's just nothing you can do when you're faced against Xavi, Iniesta, Villa, Pedro and of course, the magician himself - Messi.
  • Congratulations to United for playing clean and classy. Barcelona simply can't be beaten unless you're Mourinho, park the bus and play thuggish D.

I'm amazed, they really dominated ManU for like 80 minutes. I was expecting a much closer fight, really. Pure class from Barcelona, I've never seen a team with such high quality, such talent. The way they take possession of the midfield, with that maestro Xavi and that genius Iniesta, is absolutely delightful. I remember being in awe between Messi's goal and David Villa's, the way they were making United look like school boys. :o

Now if they sign Cesc next year, who's gonna stop them?
  • Awesome Sport?

My friend had a bet at 28-1 on Barca to win 3-1.

    I hate that slag!

But I hate Man U more:)

    Also..

Watch King Kenny and L.F.C. next season:)
  • Liverpool my hole.

I think United need to bring back a mix of the die-hard United determination of 99 and the speed and just pure amazingness of 07/08 back. I hope De Gea fills VDS's shoes well, but I think Rodwell reminds me of a young Roy Keane or Bryan Robson. We need this type of player back. At the moment, our only really superstar is Wazza. We need someone on Ronaldo's style - the ability to go past people, score screamers from 40 yards, bring the ball from defence to attack in a blink. We also need another top class striker. I have high hopes of Macheda but.............after his amazing start he's slackened. Ferguson should never have bought Berbatov when we had Tevez. The holy trinity of Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez was as good as Law, Best and Charlton.
  • for new patch

v1.5.605 version is now slow plz give the faster version
  • evryone here was for Man.U hahaha barca ripped their *** :D
Messi just was to strong barca had to many chances, man u maybe had 5 lol :D
