There is no "low quality troll" as the definition of a troll would be someone that posts a message for the purpose of causing disruption or argument, and by doing so, they are a successful troll.appliedlogic wrote: »wrong. But That is why this forum is infested with so many low quality trolls. -
Quality can be measured by how much disruption or argument there is or if the person is totally ignored.sigh.SooperPickle wrote: »There is no "low quality troll" as the definition of a troll would be someone that posts a message for the purpose of causing disruption or argument, and by doing so, they are a successful troll. -
I've tried to be nicer, and it left a bad taste in my mouth, for I was being nice to people like GringoLixo above, that don't deserve it. People that utterly lack all forms of respect, because they are hiding behind a computer screen, and think they are untouchable.
Sorry, but my patience with teenage Internet bravehearts is of short supply. You'd think it would be solved by adding them to your ignore list, but alas, no. Because then someone starts quoting the fool, because apparently trolling, no matter how pathetic, is funny to some people, and thus worth quoting.

Yes, but there is no reason to sink to their level when one clearly has the choice to be the better person to be more professional, respectful and can send their points clearly without the need to directly or indirectly bash someone. Its what separates the men from the boys, girls from the women, when one can stand tall and still manage to act accordingly even when they are the focus of the bad attention.
Let them hide behind a computer screen then, shouldn't bother you, they can't affect your life, workplace or your friends.
But like I said, there are consequences to every action, regardless of whether its funny to others or not. There's alot of things that makes a good forumer and a bad forumer. The eye for an eye routine is not. -

As long as you know the truth, who cares what ignorant trolls think? You clearly know whats right and you stand up for it.SooperPickle wrote: »Does Jessi Slaughter ring a bell?
Never heard of them. -
Someone who doubted the power of the internet and was soon trolled so hard that a police investigation was brought forth, she was later "banned" from internet use and her father is now in jail for abusing her. There are many more people who thought the internet could do no harm and now they're sitting jobless, or their lives are pretty much useless now.[MOD]Talonblaze wrote: »Never heard of them. -

And that is why internet laws were established as well. Every year the internet becomes more and more government controlled to prevent people from just doing what they wish. A shame that happened to those people, but the world doesn't run on the internet. It wasn't the first means of communication, all it simply does is allow faster and further distance of travel. Doesn't mean any of it is ever true. Wikipedia is a perfect example. -
