[A Public Service Announcement] The Showdown Sheriff Ribbon

There were plenty of hints throughout our social medias and various other places to check the website. Additionally if you found a poster and asked questions they could have been answered by other players or even our support staff.

Be thankful that there are still more posters to come, and that we even lowered the requirements to get it! Before the ribbon was released you needed to find all 10 of them.

When we come out with ribbons we don't want to simply hand them out to everyone, there is no fun in that. It is fun to have an exclusive ribbon, one that no one else has.

I can tell you that it was possible for thousands of people to get this ribbon. Realistically though that was never going to happen. But more people than were originally expected received this one. So we're pretty happy with the results so far!

This quote basically sums up the ribbon. It was a ribbon intended to psyche the patch up, and to make it a much anticipated patch. It was merely for the community, a very easy task. Find posters on the website, input the code, and get free stuff and to get an easy ribbon in order to help the community get that coveted M4A1-Custom-Crystal. This was a service to the community. Z8Games had no obligation to give you guys that ribbon, nor were they forced to do it. It was out of their free will to give a ton of GP and items out.

Let’s look at it this way; they gave away GP Codes worth 5K GP solely. If Kelathe, or [MOD]TalonBlaze was true to his estimates, and 3000 codes are given out, that’s 15000K GP, or 15000000 GP being given out [the equivalent of 15M GP]. If you calculate it with ZP and buying 120K GP + Hazard Namecard items from the Mall, that’s the equivalent of 1800000 ZP [1.8M ZP] which is the equivalent of $1800 being given out for only 2 of the codes. Instead of being mad at you not having the ribbon yet, you should be intensely grateful for the fact that you get free stuff anyways.

Just to liven the mood, I still only have 4 out of the 5 posters, but I’m not sweating it because there are more codes coming. Saidin states that originally, you needed 10,o then 7, and now 5. He also states that there are more than 10 posters now, giving you an unlimited possibility of still being able to get the ribbon and still being able to get the prizes associated with them.

Saidin foreshadowed this event in the middle of it. Foreshadowed may not be the perfect word, but he gave us an update to why there were free items in the latest Urban Warfare URL="http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=151353"]click here to view it[/URL. If that wasn’t a big enough update, you should have been more active on the forums and try to be updated on the community.

Now, when I say more than 10 posters, what is the exact number? The answer is : I DON’T KNOW. Some things in life are never revealed until it’s too late, so the next poster could be the last at any time of the day, it’s not Z8Games’ fault that you weren’t on to redeem that code.

Finally, we get to the topic of “luck”. Luck may play a huge part in this. Maybe you will be the 3000th redeemer, maybe you’ll be the 3001st redeemer. It’s all up to luck, whether you are on at the time the poster is put up, or if you arrive at the scene hours later.

Don’t be discouraged, ribbons come and go, this isn’t the first ribbon to be implemented in the game, and it sure as hell won’t be the last. Opportunities arise, it’s your choice to take the code and redeem it.

Even I being an active forumer was upset two nights ago when I got back from vacation and saw that the event was half over. I buckled myself for the ride, and now I have 4 posters, awaiting one last glorious code to come up.

Once again, be patient, codes come generally at least once every day, just try to find them, it’s a game, not real life. Don’t be discouraged if you do not have the ribbon. After all, the M4A1-Custom-Crystal is just a group of pixels. Sure this game may be important to you and I, but it’s not something that we should base our lives out of.
